E’ il nuovo affondo dell’immunologo Anthony Fauci, direttore del National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, contro l’amministrazione Trump.

“Non è un segreto”, ha affermato l’immunologo che ha fatto parte della task force anti-Covid della Casa Bianca di Trump. “Ci sono state molte divisioni, c’erano dati di fatto molto, molto chiari che sono stati messi in discussione. Così la gente non si è fidata di quello che le autorità sanitarie andavano dicendo”.

Fauci contro Trump: “Una sensazione liberatoria essere qui a parlare di scienza”

L’amministrazione Trump a volte esprimeva posizioni “prive di base scientifica” laddove ora è “liberatorio lasciar parlare la scienza”. Durante la presidenza Trump, ha detto Fauci, “era molto evidente che venissero dette cose, come a proposito dell’idrossiclorochina, che mettevano molto a disagio perché non erano basate sulla scienza“.

“E’ una sensazione liberatoria l’idea di poter venire qui e parlare di quello che si sa, di quello che la scienza è e lasciar parlare la scienza”, ha concluso.
