Il Commissario per l’emergenza Covid in Italia, Domenico Arcuri, ha rilasciato delle dichiarazioni al Corriere della Sera sul piano vaccinale e non solo.

Ecco le parole di Arcuri:
“Gentile direttore,
rispondo volentieri alle domande che Antonio Scurati mi ha rivolto ieri dal suo giornale – si riferisce al Corriere della Sera-. Non perché «le pretende», ma perché è un dovere nei confronti dei lettori e un’imperdibile occasione per fare chiarezza sul piano vaccinale.
Per vaccinare il numero massimo di cittadini italiani nel tempo più breve possibile servono un numero adeguato di vaccini, un piano logistico e organizzativo efficiente e strutture capaci di somministrare le due dosi rapidamente e nel corretto intervallo.
Partiamo dai vaccini. L’Italia ha promosso un sistema centralizzato, conferendo all’Ue la responsabilità di negoziare con le aziende produttrici, di acquistare il massimo numero possibile di dosi e di ripartirle fra i Paesi membri in percentuale alla popolazione. A noi tocca il 13,46%. Non solo: tutti i Paesi si sono impegnati a non procedere ad acquisti diretti. È stata ed è una bella pagina dell’Europa. Sono stati opzionati i vaccini di 6 aziende che porterebbero in Italia 178 milioni di dosi quest’anno e 48 nel 2022. Poi serve che l’autorità di certificazione europea, l’Ema, e quella italiana, l’Aifa, ne autorizzino l’immissione in commercio. Sino ad oggi l’Ema ha autorizzato soltanto il vaccino prodotto da Pfizer-Biontech. Nei prossimi giorni tutti facciamo il tifo perché venga autorizzato quello di Moderna.
All’Italia spettano quest’anno 40 milioni di dosi Pfizer: si comincia con 2.349.750 a gennaio e 1.879.800 a febbraio, con una frequenza di 470mila dosi la settimana.
Per ora solo Pfizer autorizzata dall’Ema
Ecco la risposta alla prima domanda: la Pfizer è la sola azienda autorizzata a immettere in commercio il proprio vaccino; lo distribuisce ai Paesi Ue in percentuale alla loro popolazione; all’Italia spetta il 13,46%; riceviamo quindi 470mila dosi a settimana. Saremmo i primi a volerne molti di più. Perciò aspettiamo Moderna: sarebbero altre 20 milioni di dosi per l’Italia.
Dopo il simbolico vaccine-day del 27 dicembre, il primo stock è arrivato cinque giorni fa. È stato attivato l’articolato piano logistico e organizzativo che abbiamo predisposto. In poche ore i vaccini, insieme a siringhe, aghi e diluenti, sono stati consegnati ai 293 punti di somministrazione preposti alla vaccinazione. Che spetta alle Regioni. Basterebbe andare sul nostro sito che informa i cittadini sull’andamento della campagna di vaccinazione per conoscere gli indirizzi di questi centri. Il piano per la vaccinazione è stato approvato dal Parlamento il 2 dicembre. Contiene alcune importanti decisioni.
Vaccino non è obbligatorio
Il vaccino è gratuito per tutti e non è obbligatorio per nessuno. Sono individuate le categorie dei cittadini da vaccinare nel corso del tempo in funzione di due parametri: il livello di esposizione potenziale al contagio e la fragilità. Prima il personale sanitario e sociosanitario dei presidi ospedalieri, con l’obiettivo di far diventare «Covid-free» i nostri ospedali, nonché il personale e gli ospiti delle RSA, perché non siano mai più teatro di quei terribili focolai.1 milione e 800 mila persone a cui contiamo di somministrare entrambe le dosi entro il prossimo mese. A febbraio partiremo con le persone che hanno più di 80 anni, oltre 4 milioni. Poi saranno vaccinati gli anziani dai 60 agli 80 anni, le forze dell’ordine, gli insegnanti e il personale scolastico, i fornitori di servizi pubblici essenziali, gli operatori del trasporto pubblico locale, il personale carcerario e i detenuti. E, infine, il resto della popolazione.
Serviranno milioni di dosi (fino a 120 per tutti gli italiani) e, quando ci saranno, sarà avviata la campagna di vaccinazione di massa, che speriamo di concludere in autunno. I punti di somministrazione diventeranno 1500, uno ogni 40mila abitanti. Il sistema informativo entrerà a pieno regime e servirà a prenotarsi, governare la somministrazione, la sua accountability e la farmaco-vigilanza. Ma allora perché i comportamenti delle regioni nella tempistica della somministrazione sono al momento asimmetrici? In qualche caso sono stati utilizzati il 50% delle dosi ricevute, in qualche altro il 3%? Sono passati solo 4 giorni dall’inizio della campagna, è davvero presto e sarebbe strumentale fare già consuntivi. Sono certo che lo spirito di collaborazione che abbiamo messo in campo porterà rapidamente ad azzerare queste asimmetrie. E se così non sarà di certo non mi esimerò dal denunciarlo.
