Frana cimitero Camogli – Ultime notizie da Camogli. Sono circa 200 le bare trascinate via da una frana e in parte finite in mare a Camogli (Genova) dopo che è crollata una porzione del cimitero che si trova sulla linea di costa della località turistica, a circa 50 metri sul livello del mare
Lo smottamento ha distrutto e fatto scivolare in acqua anche due cappelle con le salme contenute all’interno.

Il crollo sarebbe stato provocato dall’erosione della falesia sotto all’area cimiteriale, aggravata con ogni probabilità dalle violente mareggiate che hanno colpito la Liguria negli ultimi anni. Tino Revello, assessore ai Lavori Pubblici del comune di Camogli, ha spiegato all’ANSA che la zona era sotto osservazione da tempo ed erano in corso lavori per il consolidamento della falesia rocciosa sotto al cimitero: “l’area era stata anche transennata perché negli ultimi giorni si erano uditi strani scricchiolii”.
Sul luogo del crollo si sono recate squadre di sommozzatori dei vigili del fuoco, imbarcazioni della Guardia Costiera e degli stessi pompieri, oltre a un elicottero dei Vigili del Fuoco.
Alcune bare sono finite in mare e sono in corso le operazioni per recuperarle e riportarle in porto a Camogli ma molte sono rimaste incastrate sugli scogli e nella terra portata dalla frana e il loro recupero viene definito al momento complicato.
