Non è piaciuta ai medici la frase pronunciata da Vincenzo De Luca nella diretta Facebook di venerdì 27 novembre 2020 sui ricoveri in terapia intensiva in Campania. All’indomani delle sue parole arriva la risposta: “Affermare pubblicamente e, con decisione, che esiste una ‘piccola percentuale di farabutti che cerca di non fare il suo dovere’, evitando i ricoveri in Terapia Intensiva, soprattutto in orario 20-08, per poter affrontare in modo più sereno la nottata, se riferita agli anestesisti-rianimatori, i principali Operatori delle Terapie Intensive, è assolutamente offensivo per una categoria di professionisti che sta rischiando la vita ogni giorno da molti mesi, per garantire l’adeguata assistenza sanitaria ai cittadini campani”, afferma Giuseppe Galano, presidente campano della Aaroi-Emac (Associazione Anestesisti Rianimatori Ospedalieri Italiani Emergenza Area Critica) in una lettera aperta al presidente della Regione.
Ma cosa aveva detto il governatore? “La sensazione è che c’è qualche buontempone che se le richieste arrivano alle otto di sera risponde che non ci sono posti per non fare la nottata. Anomalia già registrata in passato sui pronto soccorso. Allora noi abbiamo il 99 percento del nostro personale che fa un lavoro immane ma una piccola percentuale di farabutti che non fanno il loro dovere. Andremo fino in fondo ad accertare anomalie comportamentale e ci andremo col pugno di ferro”, ha sostenuto il Presidente della Regione Campania.

“Tali affermazioni – spiega Galano, che è anche a capo del 118 di Napoli – rischiano, inoltre, di essere fuorvianti per l’opinione pubblica, catalizzando, ingiustamente, le ire, le preoccupazioni e le insoddisfazioni di quest’ultima, spesso causate da un sistema in sofferenza, su professionisti che, invece, sacrificano, ogni giorno, se stessi e i propri affetti per adempiere al proprio dovere“.
E continua: “Non basta l’espressione ‘piccola percentuale’, per evitare che da eroi si finisca per essere dei ‘farabutti’ per i tanti cittadini che, loro malgrado troppo spesso, sono alla ricerca spasmodica di assistenza e per presunte inefficienze di sistema di un colpevole, anche in un evento epocale catastrofico come quello che stiamo vivendo per il Covid 19. Presidente, forse le sarà sfuggito che le chiamate della Centrale 118 vengono indirizzate ai referenti delle strutture Covid 19 che appartengono alle direzioni sanitarie, per cui le chiamate non vengono assolutamente intercettate dagli anestesisti rianimatori. Presidente De Luca, se crede che vi siano degli atteggiamenti ‘non professionali’ o addirittura delinquenziali, in un momento storico delicatissimo, metta in atto ogni possibile controllo per evidenziarlo e, ovviamente, arginarlo, punendo i responsabili così come la legge prevede”.
Le parole dei sindacati
In una nota congiunta tutti i sindacati si sono schierati contro il governatore: “Restiamo attoniti, stupiti dalle dichiarazioni di chi dovrebbe tutelare i medici e gli operatori sanitari che identificano, seppur in minima parte, la classe medica come ‘farabutta’”, hanno scritto i sindacati dei sanitari.
“Quei ‘farabutti’ – aggiungono i sindacati – reggono da anni un sistema sanitario regionale alla canna del gas. A causa di ‘veri farabutti’ che hanno violentato, distrutto, utilizzato la sanità come un bancomat. Quei ‘farabutti’ in questo stato di crisi si sono caricati sulle spalle la cura di migliaia di pazienti. Nonostante disservizi e disorganizzazione, pagando un prezzo altissimo. Quei ‘farabutti’ rischiano ogni giorno, a causa della sordità congenita istituzionale, la vita sul campo e nonostante tutto ci sono e non si tirano indietro. Quei ‘farabutti’ hanno lavorato fino a oggi con un bavaglio a causa dei turni massacranti, del senso di impotenza e di frustrazione e dello spirito di abnegazione, ancor più che di decreti spazzatura”.
