Terremoto Fukushima 2021 – Le terrificanti immagini dell’ultimo violento terremoto in Giappone a Fukushima. Le ultime notizie aggiornate in tempo reale dall’Italia e dal mondo.

Una scossa fortissima, di magnitudo 7.3, quella avvertita ieri nel Nord Est del Giappone. Almeno cento i feriti, riferisce l’agenzia Kyodo. Il sisma ha avuto come epicentro le acque al largo della prefettura di Fukushima, ovvero l’area che l’11 marzo 2011 fu colpita da un devastante tsunami che colpì la locale centrale nucleare, causando una fuga di radiazioni.

La maggior parte dei feriti sono cittadini delle prefetture di Miyagi e Fukushima, coinvolti in cadute di oggetti, smottamenti e incendi. Nessuno appare in gravi condizioni.

Il sisma è stato avvertito fino a Tokyo, dove gli edifici hanno tremato e i sismologi nipponici non escludono che si sia trattato di una scossa di assestamento del sisma del 2011, che registrò una magnitudo pari a 9.

Tokyo Electric Power Co., l’azienda che gestisce la centrale nucleare di Fukushima, ha affermato che dopo il violento terremoto in Giappone non sono segnalate radiazioni o altre irregolarità. Il terremoto non ha causato uno tsunami, perché l’epicentro era profondo a 55 chilometri (34 miglia) sotto l’oceano. Noriko Kamaya, un portavoce dell’Agenzia meteorologica giapponese, ha dichiarato in una conferenza stampa che il terremoto è considerato una scossa di assestamento del terremoto di magnitudo 9.1 nel 2011.

La corrente elettrica è stata già ripristinata, sebbene alcuni servizi di treni ad alta velocità siano ancora interrotti.

East Japan Railway Co. ha reso noto che il bullet train sulla costa settentrionale sarà sospeso fino a lunedì a causa di danni alla sua struttura.

Nella città settentrionale di Fukushima, Soma, è crollato il tetto di un tempio buddista. Alcuni lavoratori stavano completando un’importante autostrada costiera che collegava Tokyo e le città del nord, dove si è verificata una grande frana. Anche diverse altre strade sono state bloccate da rocce.

«È iniziato con lievi scosse, poi improvvisamente è diventato violento», ha detto al quotidiano Asahi Yuki Watanabe, un impiegato di un minimarket nella città di Fukushima di Minamisoma. «Ero così spaventata», ha detto, aggiungendo che le ricordava il terremoto del 2011.

Gli esperti hanno avvertito di ulteriori scosse di assestamento. Molti residenti hanno trascorso la notte nei centri di evacuazione, dove sono state allestite tende nell’ambito delle misure di protezione dal coronavirus.
