Sono partiti per l’India quindici giorni fa. La missione di Simonetta Filippini e suo marito Enzo Galli, era una missione d’amore. Prendere la loro bambina di due anni, appena adottata e, dopo aver sbrigato le pratiche per l’adozione, tornare in Italia. Quella missione d’amore si è trasformata in un incubo per la coppia fiorentina. Partita per l’India 15 giorni fa con l’associazione International Adoption di Firenze per una adozione internazionale insieme ad altri 70 italiani, la coppia che vive in provincia di Firenze, a Campi Bisenzio, chiede aiuto per poter rientrare da New Delhi.

La donna è risultata positiva al Covid, motivo per cui è stata portata prima in ospedale e ora si trova in un albergo sanitario mentre il marito è in albergo con la bimba, 2 anni, avuta in adozione. La storia è raccontata da La Nazione a cui moglie e marito, Simonetta Filippini e il marito Enzo Galli, hanno spiegato cosa sta accadendo.

L’iter di adozione si è svolto in tempi tutto sommato celeri. Niente imbarco però poi sull’aereo che li avrebbe dovuti riportare a casa: «Mercoledì mattina – racconta Enzo – Simonetta è risultata positiva al Covid mentre io» e la bambina «eravamo negativi. A quel punto la situazione è precipitata». Simonetta è stata portata in ospedale e poi trasferita in un hotel Covid, tornando raggiungibile al telefono. «Ero in una stanza di due metri per due metri con sette persone – le sue parole riportate dal quotidiano – e alcune sono morte davanti ai miei occhi. La nostra polizza prevede la possibilità del volo contingentato e l’ambasciata e il Governo devono aiutarci».

Poi, raggiunta al telefono dal Corriere Fiorentino, la signora Simonetta ha aggiunto: «Ho visto morti sdraiati per terra nei corridoi dell’ospedale, ho visto corpi ansimanti su barelle di fortuna, ho visto cadaveri bruciare sui marciapiedi e nei parchi di New Delhi, sono rimasta in una stanza d’ospedale di due metri per due con altre persone malate di Covid. Qui è l’apocalisse, si vivono quotidianamente scene da film dell’orrore, vi prego, aiutateci a tornare in Italia».

«Dalle finestre dell’hotel – racconta Enzo – vediamo che bruciano i cadaveri dei morti di Covid in strada. È impressionante e siamo preoccupati. Siamo stati tutti separati, con noi ci sono coppie di varie zone d’Italia e hanno anche bambini bisognosi di cure in Italia. Abbiamo il permit exit dello Stato indiano per uscire ma non ci fanno partire: restare qui in attesa di un tampone negativo significa farci morire. Fuori c’è l’odore della morte ed è indescrivibile». L’ambasciata italiana in India si è attivata individuando l’ipotesi del volo Air France New Delhi Parigi ma le autorità indiane non si deciderebbero a far imbarcare persone straniere positive.

La situazione

«Attualmente la situazione della signora e del marito Enzo Galli, è complicata, ma sotto controllo». Lo fa sapere Andrea Zoletto, direttore generale di International Adoption, l’associazione che ha seguito la coppia. «Siamo costantemente in contatto con il signor Galli – spiega Zoletto -, lui e la bambina sono in un albergo a 5 stelle in assoluta sicurezza e stanno bene. La signora si trova in un albergo sanitario, in camera con un’altra persona. Questa mattina, grazie al medico dell’ambasciata italiana, ha potuto fare un altro tampone, il risultato è atteso in 48 ore: se fosse negativo l’ambasciatore garantisce l’imbarco su un volo Klm o Air France, ma fosse positiva dovrà rimanere lì almeno una decina di giorni, le autorità indiane sono di un rigore estremo su questo».

Nel caso fosse positiva, il prossimo tampone dovrebbe essere fatto tra 8 giorni, tempo durante il quale la donna resterà nella struttura. A complicare la situazione, secondo quanto appreso, anche problemi di comprensione per lingua e «purtroppo il loro accompagnatore, un nostro uomo – aggiunge Zoletto -è rimasto bloccato con il lockdown e può fare soltanto assistenza da remoto».

Tuttavia la situazione sembra essere più serena grazie all’intervento dell’ambasciata. «Il console sente il marito più volte al giorno – conferma Zoletto – devo dire che da parte delle autorità italiane l’assistenza è massima». «Quando i signori sono partiti – ha detto ancora Zoletto – la situazione in India non era così» drammatica: «È precitata all’improvviso e noi abbiamo bloccato tutto. Le altre coppie stanno rientrando perché nessuno è risultato positivo».
