Così Sophia Loren ha detto la sua sulle restrizioni imposte dal coronavirus nel corso della conferenza stampa virtuale del film ‘La vita davanti a sé’, in arrivo su Netflix il 13 novembre, dove l’attrice premio Oscar è diretta dal figlio nel suo ritorno al cinema dopo 10 anni. Ambientato a Bari, il film racconta la storia di Madame Rosa (interpretata da Sophia Loren), un’anziana ebrea ed ex prostituta che per sopravvivere negli ultimi anni della sua vita ospita nel suo piccolo appartamento una sorta di asilo per bambini in difficoltá. Riluttante, accetta di prendersi carico di un turbolento dodicenne di strada di origini senegalesi, di nome Momò, che l’ha appena derubata.
I due sono diversi in tutto: età, etnia e religione. Per questo all’inizio la loro relazione è molto conflittuale, ma ben presto si trasformerà in un’inaspettata e profonda amicizia, quando, nonostante tutto, si renderanno conto di essere anime affini, legate da un destino comune che cambierà le loro vite per sempre.
Parlando della chiusura di cinema e teatri per contenere i contagi, Loren ha aggiunto: “Cinema e teatro sono rifugi in cui ci possiamo ritrovare e capirci meglio. Ma la salute è anche molto importante. Anche la salute emotiva è importante. Dispiace, dispiace, dispiace la chiusura dei cinema e dei teatri ma uno cosa può fare?”, ha chiesto concludendo.
L’attrice premio Oscar, rispondendo ad una domanda, ha anche commentato il nuovo attentato di Nizza: “È stata una cosa orrenda. Bisogna assolutamente avere un certo tipo di tolleranza su tutto, perché la vita non può essere così”.
