Milano, 7 dicembre 2020 – La preoccupazione adesso è per il possibile – anzi più che probabile, quasi certo – esodo prima di Natale per superare i rigidi divieti di spostamento anti-Covid imposti dal Decreto legge spostamenti (spostamenti vietati dal 21 dicembre al 6 gennaio anche in zona gialla) e dal nuovo Dpcm 3 dicembre.
Oggi è il primario delle Malattie infettive dell’ospedale Sacco di Milano, il professor Massimo Galli, a rilanciare l’allarme – parlando ad Agorà su Rai 3 – con un monito ben preciso: non ripetere gli errori dell’estate. “Le avvisaglie temo che ci siano tutte, se sono vere le prenotazioni” su treni e aerei già complete per quei giorni. “Questo è un Paese – ha sottolineato Galli – in cui si pensa che le soluzioni individuali siano assolutamente lecite ma poi ti scagli contro gli altri che non si comportano nel modo giusto per garantire la sicurezza di tutti. Ma la sicurezza di tutti parte dai nostri comportamenti”.
Galli oggi: “20 mila morti evitabili”
Domenica in Italia è stato superato il numero complessivo di 60mila morti dovuti al Covid. A giudizio dello scienziato, almeno 20mila si sarebbero potuti evitare con comportamenti più virtuosi in estate. “E’ un conto che mi fa fatica fare: più di 20mila morti li avremmo potuti in larga misura evitare”. Quindi adesso è meglio stringere i denti per scongiurare una terza ondata. “Ovviamente sì , sono cose che stiamo ripetendo da giorni. Se riesci a stabilire una tendenza favorevole, vuol dire che le misure prese stanno dando risultati ma non vuol dire che il virus sia scomparso. Non cantiamo la stessa canzone che è stata cantata piu volte, anche spesso stonando, del periodo estivo… il mancato rispetto delle note di questa canzone ci ha portato alla terribile ripresa autunnale”.
Il picco influenzale
Il professor Galli poi ha parlato anche dell’influenza. “Quest’anno ci sono dei fattori da considerare: girando tutti con la mascherina puo darsi che il processo si rallenti”. E sul picco ha sottolineato: “Negli ultimi 20 anni il periodo del picco influenzale si è più frequentemente manifestato tra fine gennaio e le prime settimane di febbraio. In anni recenti, se non sbaglio nel 2016-17, il picco è stato decisamente anticipato tra Natale, Capodanno o le prime settimane di gennaio, cosa che credo non succederà quest’anno”. Poi, ha criticato che non ci sia stata “di fatto la vaccinazione che avremmo voluto vedere nei tempi giusti”.
