Matteo Bassetti, noto infettivologo dell’ospedale San Martino Di Genova, è intervenuto a “L’Aria che tira” su La7.
Myrta Merlino chiede a Bassetti: “Lei è un medico ospedaliero, cos’è che non ha funzionato e non sta funzionando negli ospedali?”
La risposta del dottore non tarda ad arrivare: “Stiamo vedendo un aumento di contagi importante ed inevitabilmente buona parte di questi contagi, soprattutto quelli sintomatici, si riversano negli ospedali”.
E continua: “Sicuramente c’è stato un problema di organizzazione: molti hanno bisogno realmente del ricovero ma ce ne sono altrettanti che se avessero avuto un supporto a casa, se avessero saputo che a casa c’erano dei protocolli chiari, con dei medici preparati che li andavano a visitare e li tenevano collegati all’ospedale, non ci saremmo trovati in questa situazione”.
Bassetti poi polemizza con chi parla dall’esterno: “Purtroppo si parla senza avere il quadro chiaro avanti agli occhi, senza essere negli ospedali. Io ogni mattina faccio un briefing e vedo quante persone si recano in ospedale che invece sarebbero potute essere curate a casa con protocolli condivisi, chiari ed adeguati. Purtroppo sono il 15-20%“.
Bassetti CTS, l’accusa
L’accusa poi diventa molto dura nei confronti del CTS.
“Io sono sicuro di quello che dico, ne sono certo. Purtroppo vengo attaccato tutti i giorni, anche da alcuni dei comitati. Ma nel mondo normale, quello scientificamente elevato per entrare in un Comitato Tecnico Scientifico ci vogliono dei requisiti. Quando io sono diventato un Professore universitario ho risposto ad un concorso in cui si stabilivano dei parametri. Questi requisiti sono stati utilizzati per selezionare chi fa parte del CTS? Io voglio sapere e capire da cittadino prima che da medico come hanno fatto carriera i direttori dei ministeri. Voglio sapere i criteri con cui si è scelto chi comanda oggi e gestisce tutta la parte importante sanitaria del Covid. Ci vuole trasparenza! La mia vita è trasparente ma voglio che lo sia altrettanto quella di chi mi attacca dal CTS“.
Bassetti poi conclude: “Sono nemico del pensiero unico. Non si fa così la medicina. Sono 4 mesi che dico al mio amico Sileri che non ci sono protocolli condivisi e che noi delle regioni non veniamo interpellati abbastanza. Tutto quello che dico lo troverete nel mio libro che ho appena finito di scrivere ma che ho iniziato a Luglio quando i contagi in Italia erano bassissimi. E putroppo già prevedevo quello che poi è successo e sta succedendo”.
