Il presidente americano non è nuovo ad uscite bomba o a notizie che lo portano sempre nelle prime pagine dei quotidiani.
Stavolta il multimilionario insediato alla Casa Bianca, in un discorso all’ONU, ha lanciato forti accuse a Pechino.
Trump è tornato a parlare di “China Virus”, ovvero il Covid, da lui così soprannominato per rendere chiara la sua idea: “La Cina è responsabile del Covid”.
Quest’ultima frase, Donald Trump, l’ha pronunciata alle Nazioni Unite, richiedendo, proprio all’ONU, di considerare i cinesi come responsabili della diffusione della pandemia nel mondo.
Trump accusa la Cina, la risposta immediata di Xi
Non si è fatta attendere la risposta cinese alle accuse di Trump.
“La Cina respinge con forza le accuse senza fondamento“, ha replicato l’ambasciatrice di Pechino all’ONU.
Il presidente cinese Xi, invece, ha affermato: “Tentativo di voler politicizzare l’emergenza sanitaria in chiave elettorale. Ciò non deve essere permesso ma va stigmatizzato e respinto”.
Xi, inoltre, ha invitato la comunità internazionale a “rifiutare ogni sorta di unilateralismo e protezionismo, affrontando la pandemia uniti e seguendo la scienza“.
Un chiaro riferimento, quello di Xi, all’OMS che, invece, Trump ha accusato definendola il “burattino” della Cina.
Xi ha, infine, rassicurato tutti: “I vaccini sviluppati dalla Cina sono nella terza fase dei test clinici e saranno resi disponibili come bene pubblico globale – ed ha aggiunto – saranno forniti ai Paesi in via di sviluppo su base prioritaria”.
Trump accusa la Cina, la risposta dell’ONU
Il segretario generale dell’ONU, Antonio Guterres, ha lanciato un appello: “Evitare una nuova Guerra Fredda”.
“Nessuna guerra calda o fredda, e nessuna intenzione di innescare uno scontro di civiltà”, è stata la risposta di Xi.
Chissà cosa ne penserà Trump, curiosamente candidato al Premio Nobel per la Pace 2021.
