“Alcune centinaia di persone – ristoratori, commercianti e partite iva, insieme a gruppi organizzati di estrema destra, negazionisti e alcuni esponenti della lega – hanno manifestato ieri sera davanti al comune di bergamo per protestare contro le chiusure decise dal governo. Un corteo è poi arrivato sotto casa mia e qui i manifestanti sono rimasti per più di un’ora, sorvegliati dalla polizia, scandendo slogan, con bandiere, striscioni e fumogeni”. Questo scrive su Facebook il sindaco di Bergamo Giorgio Gori.

“Non voglio esagerare la portata dell’episodio, per quanto non piacevole – aggiunge-. Riconosco il diritto di chiunque a manifestare e anzi capisco perfettamente la preoccupazione, in alcuni casi la disperazione, di chi vive della propria attività e teme in queste ore che la nuova chiusura possa darle il colpo di grazia. Ho sostenuto la richiesta di ristori immediati da parte del governo e m’impegnerò, come già abbiamo fatto nei mesi scorsi con i contributi erogati dal programma rinascimento. Perché l’amministrazione comunale sia al fianco di questi lavoratori nei prossimi mesi”.

Poi puntualizza: “Un sindaco non c’entra però nulla con la decisione di indicare come ‘rossa’ una certa area territoriale. Decide il governo e lo fa a tutela della salute delle persone, sulla base di una serie di parametri epidemiologici e del grado di saturazione delle strutture sanitarie. Io peraltro, già ieri, ho scritto al ministro Speranza e al presidente Fontana insieme ai sindaci di Brescia, Cremona e Mantova per conoscere questi dati e capire se ci siano le condizioni – previste nel Dpcm – per ‘esentare’ da alcune misure le province in cui la situazione sia oggettivamente meno grave: vedremo nei prossimi giorni”.

Gori insiste. Un sindaco “non c’entra niente ma è facile che alcuni cittadini non lo sappiano e che comunque lo vedano come l’espressione più vicina dello stato. Aldilà delle sue effettive competenze, e che a lui indirizzino il loro malessere e la loro protesta. Succede e succederà. In più, rispetto a marzo, c’è in giro più stanchezza e più sfiducia. Non si sono visti potenziamenti significativi del sistema sanitario. Aiuti e ristori si sovrappongono senza chiare priorità (e comunque lasciano sempre fuori qualcuno, mentre i furbi sgomitano); è più difficile intravedere una prospettiva. Chi però si è mescolato a quel corteo con il solo scopo di strumentalizzarlo sa bene quali siano le competenze dei diversi livelli istituzionali”.

“In un momento come questo – sottolinea Gori – con tanta gente angosciata per il proprio futuro, buttare benzina sul fuoco, indicare un bersaglio solo per interesse di parte, è a mio parere grave e piuttosto pericoloso. Perché nessuno può dirsi sicuro di governare quella protesta, una volta che l’ha scatenata. E’ perciò un invito alla responsabilità, il mio, rivolto alle forze politiche e alle rappresentanze associative che si rendono conto della delicatezza di questo momento, soprattutto per una città ferita come la nostra. Dove è facile che il dolore diventi rabbia, e tanti sforzi per coltivare la coesione sociale vadano rapidamente in fumo. Ognuno faccia la sua parte. E nel frattempo grazie ai tanti che in queste ore mi hanno espresso la loro affettuosa solidarietà”.
