Lo ha detto ad Agorà su Rai 3 Franco Locatelli, presidente del Consiglio superiore di sanità. “Sono a favore della ripresa della didattica in presenza”, ha proseguito Locatelli. “Mi sembra che in questo momento sia in atto una fase di interlocuzione tra governo e regioni. E sia stato raggiunto un accordo per la riapertura delle scuole superiori posticipata all’11 gennaio”.
Locatelli ISS: “Non irrilevante il numero dei vaccinati”
“Questa mattina siamo a 179mila persone vaccinate, quindi un numero tutt’altro che irrilevante”, ha sottolineato Locatelli. “Solo due giorni fa eravamo sostanzialmente a 84.000, quindi in 48 ore abbiamo vaccinato 95mila persone. Come in tutte le cose – ha affermato – c’è bisogno di un periodo di accelerazione. Ma ricordiamo che l’Italia, dopo la Germania, è il paese che ha più vaccinazioni in Europa“.
“Solo con Pfizer e con Moderna il paese ha più di 61 milioni di dosi a disposizione. Sono cifre assolutamente importanti”, ha ribadito Locatelli. “Già nel primo trimestre dell’anno – ha sottolineato – abbiamo 12 milioni di dosi disponibili per garantire la copertura delle categorie prioritariamente identificate ora, quindi operatori sanitari e ospiti delle Rsa. Poi si passerà agli ultraottantenni e poi si scenderà di età per offrire il vaccino anche alle forze dell’ordine e agli insegnanti per garantire il massimo della riapertura in sicurezza delle scuole”.

Poi il presidente del Consiglio superiore di Sanità ha dichiarato: “Mi sono vaccinato, non ho avuto assolutamente alcun problema, è stato un momento importante per me, e spero che il mio esempio in qualche misura possa essere di incentivazione per tutti gli italiani, perché solamente attraverso le vaccinazioni riusciremo a emanciparci da questa situazione”.
Locatelli ha spiegato che “il vaccino attualmente disponibile in commercio, ma non sarà diverso neanche per il vaccino che verrà valutato e auspicabilmente approvato domani, cioè Moderna, prevede due somministrazioni e dà una copertura del 95%, che si ha a partire da sette giorni dopo la seconda dose”.
“Gli studi clinici pubblicati sulle più prestigiose riviste di medicina – ha proseguito il presidente del Css – riportano che vi è una quota di soggetti che si infettano dopo la prima somministrazione.
