Locatelli sui vaccini: “Entro giugno vaccinati 20 milioni di italiani”

Locatelli sui vaccini – Entro giugno sarà vaccinato – con doppia dose – un italiano su tre.

Lo ha affermato il presidente del Consiglio superiore di sanità Franco Locatelli, ospite di “Buongiorno” su Sky Tg24.

“La disponibilità di vaccini anti-Covid entro il mese di giugno è quantificabile nell’ordine più o meno di 40 milioni di dosi. Quindi dovremmo arrivare largamente a una cifra importante di persone che vengono a essere vaccinate. Siamo nell’ordine dei 20 milioni”, ha detto.

“Abbiamo avuto 2 milioni di dosi a gennaio – ricorda Locatelli – e parlando solo dei vaccini per ora approvati avremo 4 milioni per febbraio, 8,3 per marzo e poi 25 milioni per il trimestre successivo. E’ chiaro che, se arriveranno ulteriori dosi di vaccini o ci saranno vaccini che verranno approvati, questo numero si può incrementare. Oggi questi sono i numeri rispetto ai tre vaccini Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca e in funzione di quella che è la previsione di fornitura”.

Locatelli ha parlato anche del vaccino russo, definendo “interessanti” i dati di Sputnik pubblicati sulla rivista Lancet. “Credo – ha spiegato – che ci dobbiamo accostare a ogni vaccino con un atteggiamento laico, cioè valutare i profili di sicurezza ed efficacia attraverso analisi rigorose e fare valutazioni sulle pubblicazioni scientifiche che verranno a essere prodotte”.
