Figurano anche i nomi di Roberta Cappelli, Marina Petrella, Sergio Tornaghi (Brigate Rosse) e di Narciso Manenti, dei Nuclei Armati per il Contropotere Territoriale, tutti condannati all’ergastolo. Infine, in manette sono finiti anche i due ex brigatisti Giovanni Alimonti ed Enzo Calvitti, condannati rispettivamente alla pena detentiva di 11 anni, 6 mesi e 9 giorni e 18 anni, 7 mesi e 25 giorni.
Tra i tre in fuga, si apprende, c’è invece Luigi Bergamin, dei Proletari armati per il comunismo. Per lui non è scattata la prescrizione nei mesi scorsi, come invece si pensava, grazie a una pronuncia del tribunale di Milano che ha dichiarato l’ex ideologo dei Pac “delinquente abituale”. C’è poi l’ex brigatista Maurizio Di Marzio e Raffaele Ventura, vecchio esponente delle Formazioni comuniste combattenti.
I sette arrestati compariranno entro 48 ore di fronte alla procura generale della Corte d’appello di Parigi. Prima che un giudice stabilisca le misure cautelari (la conferma dell’arresto o il rilascio condizionale). Che rimarranno in vigore fino a che non sarà completato l’esame della richiesta di estradizione. Viste le precarie condizioni di salute, la situazione di Marina Petrella “sarà di nuovo presa in esame dalla Corte d’Appello quando sarà esaminata la sua richiesta di estradizione”, fa sapere l’Eliseo. Stessa cosa vale per Giorgio Pietrostefani che ha 78 anni e ha subito un trapianto di fegato.

Parla di “tradimento senza nome da parte della Francia” Irene Terrel, storica avvocata degli ex terroristi italiani: “Sono indignata – ha detto dopo l’arresto – e non ho parole per descrivere questa operazione che assomiglia a una piccola retata“.

Soddisfazione da parte del presidente del Consiglio, Mario Draghi. “Il governo esprime soddisfazione per la decisione della Francia di avviare le procedure giudiziarie, richieste da parte italiana, nei confronti dei responsabili di gravissimi crimini di terrorismo che hanno lasciato una ferita ancora aperta. La memoria di quegli atti barbarici è viva nella coscienza degli italiani. A nome mio e del governo, rinnovo la partecipazione al dolore dei familiari nel ricordo commosso del sacrificio delle vittime”.
“Questi ex brigatisti erano stati accusati e condannati in Italia per atti di terrorismo connessi a fatti di sangue tra gli anni ’70 e ’80. Massimo impegno per contrastare criminalità e terrorismo. Non si può fuggire dalle proprie responsabilità, dal dolore causato, dal male generato”. Così ha commentato su Facebook il ministro degli Esteri, Luigi Di Maio. Ringraziando “il ministero della Giustizia, che negli ultimi anni ha agito con incisività al servizio di cooperazione internazionale della Criminalpol, e all’antiterrorismo della Polizia di Stato italiana che ha lavorato notte e giorno per concretizzare questa operazione di antiterrorismo”.
