Questa la frase chiave dell’intervista a Tagadà su La7 di Lucia Azzolina, ex ministra dell’Istruzione durante il Governo Conte Bis.
La Azzolina ha esordito con quella frase, parlando della questione dei nuovi banchi a rotelle, e non, acquistati per fronteggiare la pandemia da Covid in Italia.

“Per quale motivo dovrei rinnegare i banchi a rotelle? Possono criticare quanto vogliono ma adesso voglio spiegare una volta e per tutte la questione dei banchi. A) I banchi a rotelle sono 400 mila su 2,4 milioni. B) Sono costati in totale, tutti i 2,4 milioni di banchi, 325 milioni… quelli con le rotelle 119 milioni. C) I banchi li hanno scelti i dirigenti scolastici, che sono molto più preparati di chi ha fatto una becera campagna elettorale sulla scuola. Chi? Sapete meglio di me chi l’ha fatta. Ed è stata squallida”.
L’ex ministra poi ha continuato: “I banchi sono stati acquistati su richiesta dei dirigenti e dopo le analisi del CTS. Il comitato tecnico scientifico a giugno ci ha detto ‘Volete riaprire le scuole? Bene, dovete tenere le distanze di sicurezza ma le strutture che avete sono vecchie, vetuste e i banchi sono quelli che usavano i vostri nonni. Ci vogliono banchi nuovi, singoli’. Allora abbiamo chiesto ai dirigenti scolastici. Quei banchi esistono in Italia dal 2012. Li faceva vedere Piero Angela e andavano bene. Li propone il Governo Conte Bis e non vanno più bene. Si trovano in tutta Europa ed inoltre si trovano anche nelle scuole dei gesuiti… quelle che frequentava Draghi tanti anni fa. Abbiamo ricavato 40 mila aule quest’estate, significa lavoro alle imprese e modernizzazione degli edifici. Abbiamo aggiunto personale per 70mila persone e anche miliardi per la scuola. Nessun paese in Europa lo ha fatto”.
La Azzolina ha poi concluso: “Quando arriverà qualcuno che farà meglio di così ne riparleremo”.
