La Francia torna in lockdown dalla mezzanotte di venerdì 30 ottobre. Lo ha appena annunciato in diretta tv il presidente Emmanuel Macron con un discorso alla nazione nel giorno in cui sono stati sfiorati i 70mila casi in tutto il Paese.
L’impennata di nuovi casi, il boom di pazienti ricoverati in terapia intensiva, con numeri mai visti dallo scorso aprile, e la crescente pressione sul sistema sanitario hanno spinto il governo a dichiarare il blocco totale delle attività nel Paese per i prossimi 30 giorni per salvare il Natale.
Si tratta del terzo Paese europeo ad annunciare misure così restrittive nella lotta al Coronavirus.
Prima Irlanda e poi Germania, dove Angela Merkel, proprio oggi, ha annunciato un lockdown “light”, con ristoranti e bar chiusi e scuole aperte, a partire dal 2 novembre.

“Abbiamo preso delle misure, erano già state contestate e complesse ma si sono dimostrate insufficienti”, ha detto Macron.
Lo stesso ha poi aggiunto: “Abbiamo fatto tutto il possibile per un’ondata che ha toccato tutti i paesi europei, siamo uno dei paesi europei che fa più test, siamo sommersi da questo virus che guadagna forza man mano che l’inverno si avvicina.
Siamo tutti allo stesso punto. Questa seconda ondata sarà più dura e mortale della prima, a novembre rischiamo di avere novemila persone in terapia intensiva.
Non ce la faremo se non agiamo, se non fermiamo la diffusione del virus tra regioni, ci troveremo con i nostri medici che dovranno scegliere chi salvare, ciò è inaccettabile.
Dobbiamo proteggere i più fragili, ma anche i giovani e tutto il sistema sanitario. Glielo dobbiamo. Infine, dobbiamo proteggere la nostra economia.
Non credo all’opposizione tra economia e salute, perché non esiste un’economia forte senza dei cittadini in salute. Potremmo cercare l’immunità di gregge ma questo vorrebbe dire arrivare a 400mila morti. La Francia non adotterà mai questa strategia.
La seconda ipotesi è quella di isolare solo le persone a rischio, ma non è fattibile perché non si può creare una bolla intorno a una generazione. I contagi reali sono 80/100mila al giorno”.
Per questo, si è reso necessario un nuovo lockdown, in attesa del vaccino che “arriverà prima della primavera”.
Cosa resta aperto e cosa chiude in Francia da venerdì
Da venerdì fino al primo dicembre, come ha annunciato Macron, in Francia si potrà uscire di casa per lavorare, prendere aria vicino casa, fare la spesa, fare visite mediche e andare dai parenti per aiutarli, il tutto sempre muniti di autocertificazione. Le scuole restano aperte e si potrà continuare a fare visita nelle Rsa.
I bar e i ristoranti saranno chiusi, così come tutti i negozi non essenziali, e per tutte le attività soggette al provvedimento sono previsti aiuti fino a 10mila euro, il telelavoro sarà generalizzato, gli sportelli pubblici saranno aperti, così come anche le fabbriche e i cantieri. Restano aperte le frontiere dentro l’area Schengen, mentre per chi arriva dai paesi extra Schengen è previsto il tampone obbligatorio. Sono vietate le riunioni private.
La Francia si prepara al lockdown
Per questo, già da questo pomeriggio si contavano oltre 300 chilometri di auto in fila sul péripherique, in gran parte parigini che lasciano la capitale per sfuggire alle nuove limitazioni di circolazione.
Stando a diversi media in tutto il territorio francese, sono ripresi i fenomeni di accaparramento di alcuni prodotti nei supermercati, proprio come durante il blocco della prima ondata.
Come ormai tradizione, a ruba carta igienica, pasta, riso e farina. La strategia adottata finora dal premier francese Jean Castex, con il coprifuoco notturno nelle aree più colpite dal virus è, dunque, servita a poco. Così, dopo la riunione del Consiglio di Difesa di ieri, si è deciso di passare al contrattacco.
I casi sono aumentati del 74 per cento in otto giorni arrivando domenica a 52mila in 24 ore, e il tasso di positività dei test è passato dall’1,5% di quest’estate al 19% di adesso.
A preoccupare è soprattutto la situazione negli ospedali, dove di nuovo le operazioni non urgenti sono state rinviate: il 17 marzo, il primo giorno del lockdown di primavera, i ricoverati per Covid erano 2.579, adesso sono quasi sette volte di più (17 mila 784); i pazienti Covid-19 in rianimazione sono circa 2.600, raddoppiati in tre settimane, e nell’Ile de France, la regione di Parigi, il tasso di occupazione dei letti sfiora già il 70%, secondo un calcolo di Le Monde. In 24 ore, sono morte di coronavirus 258 persone.
