“Può darsi che i vaccini arrivino prima di Natale, e abbiamo deciso che saranno a disposizione del personale medico e sanitario”. Lo ha detto Angela Merkel parlando al Bundestag.
La cancelliera tedesca ha detto che “il vaccino rappresenta la luce alla fine del tunnel”, anche se nei mesi invernali non tutti potranno essere vaccinati e molti dovranno ancora tenere duro senza.
La crescita esponenziale del Covid è stata fermata ma “non c’è ancora una inversione del trend, la crescita dei contagi si è fermata a un dato alto, troppo alto. E in molti Laender crescono ancora troppo invece di calare”, ha aggiunto Merkel, citando fra l’altro il “triste record delle vittime“ segnato l’altro ieri. “Questo deve preoccuparci“, ha aggiunto. “Se aspettassimo che le terapie intensive si riempissero – perché cariche lo sono già – sarebbe troppo tardi”, ha detto.
La Germania preme perché vi sia un accordo europeo sulla stagione sciistica, che, secondo Angela Merkel, non dovrebbe partire. “Alla luce della posizione austriaca è chiaro che non sarà facile, ma noi ci proveremo”, ha detto la cancelliera tedesca parlando delle misure anti Covid decise ieri con i governatori dei Laender.
