Vaccinazione per la Generazione Z sempre più vicina. Il 28 maggio l’Ema dovrebbe infatti rilasciare l’autorizzazione a somministrare le dosi di Pfizer per quella fascia di età che va dai 12 ai 15 anni.
Ad annunciarlo, oggi, il ministro Speranza rispondendo a una interrogazione alla Camera. “Per il momento solo questo tipo di vaccino è previsto per questa età”. Secondo il numero uno del dicastero di lungotevere Ripa questo “è un fatto molto importante perchè immunizzare i più giovani è altamente strategico ed è essenziale per la riapertura in sicurezza del prossimo anno scolastico. Ma aspettiamo la decisione dell’Ema anche per dare maggiori informazioni su queste fasce d’età”.

In attesa dell’ok, Speranza dice di essere già al lavoro con il commissario Figliuolo “per adeguare il piano e costruire anche una comunicazione che renda consapevoli le persone che il vaccino è l’arma più rilevante di cui disponiamo per chiudere definitivamente questa stagione così difficile”.
E giù coi numeri. “Nella fase che arriva, abbiamo circa 20 milioni di dosi che saranno a disposizione nel nostro Paese per il mese di giugno e questo ci può consentire senz’altro di estendere le vaccinazioni ad altre generazioni. Il tema dell’estensione della campagna vaccinale ai più giovani è molto delicato e di particolare attenzione perchè come è noto i vaccini approvato finora o da Ema o da Aifa hanno una limitazione anagrafica, solo il Pfizer è utilizzabile dai 16 anni, tutti gli altri invece si possono inoculare a partire dalla maggiore età “.
