Sileri annuncia cosa potrà accadere in Primavera in Italia – «Mio figlio ha 16 mesi, quando vede che la mascherina mi si muove lui me la rimette a posto. Vorrei buttarla nel secchio anche io che faccio il chirurgo e con la mascherina ci sono cresciuto. Ma per poterla buttare dovremo essere sicuri di aver vaccinato moltissime persone. Quando l’avremo fatto e quando i numeri saranno migliori, magari in primavera, credo che la mascherina all’aperto, quando siamo da soli, potremo evitare di metterla», osserva il viceministro della Salute Pierpaolo Sileri a Radio Cusano Campus.
«Il freno a mano andrà tolto quando avremo vaccinato, oltre agli operatori sanitari – afferma Sileri – anche tutti gli anziani. Progressivamente la comunità deve tornare alle normali attività. I ristoranti potranno riaprire la sera, potremo andare a cinema e a teatro, ovviamente con le regole che sono state stabilite».
Sileri annuncia novità in Primavera in Italia
Di fronte al rallentamento del piano vaccinale a causa delle mancate forniture di vaccino, cresce la paura per le varianti del virus. Al riguardo il professor Andrea Crisanti, direttore del dipartimento di Microbiologia dell’Università di Padova interviene sull’ipotesi di maggiori controlli alle frontiere.
«Dico di sì perché stanno emergendo varianti che destano qualche preoccupazione. In questo momento la variante inglese ha un impatto sull’immunità di gregge, la variante brasiliana e quella sudafricana potrebbero non essere neutralizzate dal vaccino, o per lo meno alcuni studi preliminari suggeriscono questo. Proteggere le frontiere da altre varianti è una cosa positiva». Evidenzia il professor Crisanti a Skytg24.
«A questo proposito penso anche che la campagna del vaccino dovrebbe essere accompagnata a una campagna di sequenziamento di tutte le varianti, perché se emerge una variante virale resistente al vaccino bisogna cambiare strategia, bisogna fare immediatamente un lockdown durissimo per evitare che si diffonda».
«Mentre stiamo vaccinando è prioritario vigilare che varianti resistenti non emergano o siano introdotte sul nostro territorio perché potrebbero compromettere l’efficacia del vaccino. Bisogna creare una struttura di sorveglianza che verifichi che queste varianti non emergano, o, se emergono consenta di prendere misure drastiche».
