Parla di situazione allarmante Massimo Galli, il primario infettivologo dell’ospedale Sacco di Milano, città sulla quale ha rilasciato dichiarazioni non ottimistiche.
Evidentemente ha cambiato idea e pensa che ormai la situazione sia irreparabile.
Questo perchè le sue parole durante l’intervista rilasciata ai microfoni de La Repubblica, sono state piuttosto forti.
“Guardi, siamo nella peste“, dichiara uno sconfortato Galli.
“Sto cercando di occuparmi di tutti i pazienti che ho qui. Mi pare una tragico déjà vu. Lo temevo già da agosto, speravo di sbagliarmi e invece…“, continua il medico.
E quando gli viene detto che l’Italia sta meglio degli altri paesi europei risponde: “Inutile ragionare con i dati di ieri. Dobbiamo guardare le proiezioni, che purtroppo hanno poche probabilità di fallire. Tra 15 giorni saremo come la Francia, la Spagna, il Regno Unito“.
“La situazione a Milano si sta facendo molto allarmante, al limite della saturazione – riferisce Galli – E ci sono forti criticità anche altrove. Abbiamo assoluto bisogno di far funzionare le indicazioni del decreto del Governo. Diversamente, la strada già tracciata è quella degli altri Paesi europei”.
“Abbiamo una distribuzione dei contagi in tutto il territorio. E quando cominci a vedere la realtà nelle aree dove la prima ondata ha colpito meno, sai che il rimescolamento delle carte di quest’estate creerà grossi problemi perché si tratta di aree che non hanno vissuto questa esperienza e non hanno strutture attrezzate”
Prof Galli sul lockdown
E sulla previsione del lockdown di Natale fatta dal professore Andrea Crisanti, Galli afferma: “All’amico Crisanti è scappata questa idea, è preoccupato come lo sono io. Ma forse qualche segnale importante per dire che stiamo andando a sbattere dobbiamo pure darlo – riconosce Galli – Non so se ci sarà un lockdown di Natale e non me lo auguro, dobbiamo lavorare strenuamente per evitarlo”.
“Il lockdown è la misura più semplice – riflette lo specialista del Sacco di Milano – perché non hai bisogno di lambiccarti il cervello a trovare altre soluzioni, ma anche la più drammatica perché le conseguenze sarebbero inevitabili. Poi se qualcuno si ostina a darci delle Cassandre si assumerà le responsabilità”.
“Questa estate in vacanza, positivi giovani; a settembre ritorno a casa, positivi giovani; poi il contagio in famiglia, l’età cresce. Adesso tornano ad essere colpiti gli anziani. E dunque cresce la paura, la sintomatologia, il ricorso alle cure ospedaliere, le terapie intensive. Le vittime, ormai lo sappiamo, le vedremo più in là“, conclude Galli.
