Nel corso della puntata speciale di Stasera Italia, programma condotto da Barbara Palombelli, il giornalista e conduttore Nicola Porro si è scagliato contro il professor Massimo Galli, infettivologo ormai noto a tutti per il suo impegno nella lotta al Covid-19.
Ebbene durante la puntata Porro ha espresso il suo giudizio in merito alle parole di Galli, attaccandolo in diretta e avendo un duro botta e risposta con lui. A sedare il diverbio c’è stata la Palombelli, che ha provato invano a far contenere i due.

Galli: “Il dato di fatto è legato ai contagi di oggi. Li avete visti? Li immaginate quelli che si vedranno nell’arco di questa settimana? Bisogna dare un segnale forte e deciso per far si che si inverta una tendenza? Una tendenza che se non si inverte ci costringe a chiusure drastiche come quelle che stanno ricomparendo in Francia, Germania e Spagna”.
“O si inverte questa tendenza con segnali forti, o altrimenti si rischia. L’Italia si è comportata benissimo durante il lockdown, ma poi c’è stata una estate non virtuosa sotto tutti i punti di vista. I risultati di questa estate non virtuosa si stanno vedendo adesso con i tanti contagi che abbiamo”.
“E’ necessario mantenere in vita delle attività fondamentali, è necessario continuare il discorso della scuola. Però l’ha detto anche Liguori prima, la gente da una certa ora in poi cambia completamente i suoi comportamenti e manifesta delle aggregazioni che purtroppo al momento non ci possiamo permettere”.
Porro risponde: “Devo stare molto tranquillo altrimenti stasera mi cacciano da Mediaset. Vorrei chiedere a Galli se lui mi sa dire, visto che per lui bisogna decretare la morte di 1 milione di baristi e ristoratori se si vuole farli chiudere alle 23, dei 3678 positivi di oggi vorrei sapere se ha il numero di quelli veramente malati rispetto ai debolmente positivi o asintomatici. Ieri Bassetti mi ha detto che il 94% dei contagiati è asintomatico o debolmente positivo”
Galli controbatte: “Questa è una balla! Bassetti non è in grado di dirlo, e se pure lo sapesse non potrebbe dirlo. Guardi, basta che lei si venga a fare un giro nel mio reparto per capire che non stiamo scherzando. Quanti malati ho nel mio reparto? Non posso dirlo, questa cosa ve la può dire il mio direttore sanitario, non io”.
Porro: “So quali sono i dati della Campania, li ha enunciati la Regione. In Campania nel 5% dei casi c’è gente in ospedale, il resto sono a casa o asintomatici”
Galli: “Non lasciamoci andare a farneticazioni…”
