Giovanni Toti anziani, scatta la polemica sui social. Un messaggio su Twitter del governatore della Liguria ha fatto infuriare tutta Italia. Ecco le parole di Toti:

“Per quanto ci addolori ogni singola vittima del Covid-19, dobbiamo tenere conto di questo dato: solo ieri tra i 25 decessi della Liguria, 22 erano pazienti molto anziani. Persone per lo più in pensione, non indispensabili allo sforzo produttivo del Paese che vanno però tutelate”.

Il tweet di Giovanni Toti, presidente della Liguria, scatena un putiferio di polemiche social. «Cancellalo subito», le risposte più tenere. “Agghiacciante presidente”. “Persone per lo più in pensione, non indispensabili allo sforzo produttivo del Paese”. NON CI SONO PAROLE PER CIO CHE HA SCRITTO, INDIPENDENTEMENTE DALL ETA, E DALLO SFORZO PRODUTTIVO SONO PERSONE“.

“Il Paese non può permettersi un nuovo lockdown”, ha poi detto Toti. “Il senso di questo tweet, che appartiene a un ragionamento più ampio, è stato frainteso. I nostri anziani sono i più colpiti dal virus, sono persone spesso in pensione che possono restare di più a casa e essere tutelate di più. Lo staff”, il tweet arrivato pochi minuti dopo le polemiche.
