Estate 2021 Covid – Il professore Andrea Crisanti, direttore del Laboratorio di Microbiologia e Virologia dell’Azienda ospedaliera di Padova, è intervenuto in diretta ai microfoni di Fanpage.it in una live su Youtube. Ecco alcune delle sue dichiarazioni:
“Molto difficilmente avremo una estate come quella del 2020, quando dopo il lockdown abbiamo riaperto con pochi decine di casi di contagio. Probabilmente quest’anno arriveremo a inizio maggio con almeno 7-8mila casi al giorno, che sono ancora tantissimi purtroppo”.

Crisanti ha spiegato che la dinamica della trasmissione del virus è ancora oggi allarmante, che purtroppo questo non lascia elementi di ottimismo: “C’è ancora anche un numero inaccettabile di morti”, ha ricordato il microbiologo.
Per cui, secondo Crisanti, “più guadagniamo tempo meglio è. Ogni giorno guadagnato è un giorno che vacciniamo persone. Così ricominceremo a respirare”.
“Arrivare al numero di vaccinazioni del Regno Unito non è una cosa che si improvvisa, loro sono fondamentalmente molto più organizzati. L’Inghilterra è diversa da noi anche come popolo, di fronte alle difficoltà agisce come una sola persona, tendono a unirsi invece di dividersi”, ha detto ancora Crisanti commentando le differenze sulla campagna di vaccinazione anti-Covid nel Paese di Boris Johnson e nel nostro, dove invece il piano vaccini fatica a decollare.
