“Se torniamo con la riapertura delle scuole e con l’assoluta libertà di movimento non abbiamo strumenti per prevenire la terza ondata“ di Covid-19, “perché i tempi per la vaccinazione saranno lunghi. Fino al 7 gennaio i casi diminuiranno ancora, perché ci saranno ancora le restrizioni in vigore. Secondo me verso la fine di gennaio probabilmente aumenteranno, con la riapertura delle scuole”. E’ la previsione del virologo Andrea Crisanti, intervenuto a ‘Un giorno da pecora’ su Rai Radio 1.

“Quello che conta non è tanto il Natale”, in termini di impatto sui contagi, “ma questi giorni di grande mobilità”, evidenzia l’esperto dell’università di Padova. E un aumento ci sarà in corrispondenza della “riapertura delle scuole a meno che non si implementeranno delle misure un po’ più restrittive”, per esempio “lo scaglionamento delle entrate”, o a meno a che non “si imporrà la mascherina Ffp2 sugli autobus”, e così via.
Sulla possibilità di rivedere il divieto di spostamento fra i Comuni nei giorni clou delle feste natalizie “non penso che ci sia da essere d’accordo o contrari perché nessuno sa quale sarà l’impatto. Ma io sono contrario, solo perché il Governo aveva già deciso che questo era un divieto e per coerenza doveva mantenerlo. Oppure ci dovevano pensare prima”. Il divieto in questione pensato in chiave di contenimento del rischio di Covid-19 “era concepito male dall’inizio”, osserva l’esperto dell’università di Padova. “Perché ci sono tanti Comuni in Italia uno vicino all’altro, e ci sono parenti e amici che magari stanno a 10 chilometri di distanza“.
Ora, si chiede Crisanti, “che differenza fanno 2 giorni, in mezzo a tutta questa situazione di adesso, se ora si può andare ognuno dove gli pare? Io penso che sia una questione responsabilità delle persone. Se le persone non capiscono che devono stare attente ed evitare assembramenti, e che la convivialità e il mangiare assieme è uno dei rischi più elevati, non c’è niente che li ferma“.
Il problema, infatti, “è non mischiare più nuclei familiari. Se uno stesso gruppo familiare è composto di 8 persone che hanno sempre vissuto insieme, non aumenta il rischio. Se uno fa una cena con 8 persone da 3 famiglie diverse è molto più a rischio. Contano i nuclei familiari”.
