Coppia muore tenendosi per mano – Ultime notizie sul Coronavirus dagli Stati Uniti. Purtroppo arrivano notizie negative dagli USA, visto che il numero di deceduti dopo aver contratto il Covid sta ancora crescendo.
Come riporta l’edizione online de Il Mattino, a pagarne le conseguenze sono state un uomo e una donna americani. Una coppia sposata, per la precisione. Entrambi travolti dal beffardo destino che li ha visti morire a pochi minuti di distanza l’uno dall’altra, dopo aver combattuto per settimane contro il Coronavirus.
Coppia muore tenendosi per mano, erano malati di Covid
Si tratta di Johnny Lee Peoples, 67 anni, e sua moglie Cathy Darlene, 65 anni, sono morti in un centro medico della città di Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
I due erano stati sposati per 48 anni e hanno contratto il virus all’inizio di agosto. Come raccontato dal loro figlio Shane, le condizioni dei coniugi sarebbero peggiorate dopo 30 giorni di malattia, con il personale medico dell’unità di terapia intensiva dell’ospedale in cui si trovavano che ha deciso di unirli nella stessa stanza.
“Sono morti tenendosi per mano, a quattro minuti di distanza l’uno dall’altra”. Queste sono state le parole dei figlio riportate a WBTV. Shane Peoples assicura che è stata un’esperienza difficile quella vissuta dalla coppia durante la malattia e che le loro condizioni di salute sono peggiorate rapidamente.
“Le vite di mamma e papà sono state rubate da un virus su cui molti scherzano quotidianamente o semplicemente credono che sia una bufala. Al contario, entrambi avevano preso sul serio questa pandemia, ma si sono ammalati e sono morti”, ha scritto Shane sul suo profilo Facebook.
