Bertolaso lascia Lombardia – Era arrivato in Lombardia in qualità di coordinatore della campagna vaccinale di massa lo scorso primo febbraio. Ora, a fine aprile, dopo che la «macchina» lombarda, nonostante i problemi iniziali, ha finalmente preso il ritmo giusto, Guido Bertolaso ha deciso di lasciare per tornare a Roma.
«Quando non ce ne sarà più bisogno toglierò il saluto, qui non c’è bisogno di un demiurgo. La Lombardia è assolutamente in grado di fare da sola, io c’ho tanti altri progetti che vorrei portare avanti da povero pensionato», ha annunciato ieri sera a «Quarta Repubblica» intervistato da Nicola Porro.
Neanche cento giorni dopo il suo arrivo, quindi, il commissario Bertolaso, già venuto in Lombardia nel corso della prima ondata per occuparsi dell’allestimento dell’Ospedale alla Fiera di Milano – progetto che lasciò dopo pochi giorni perché contrasse il Covid – torna a Roma. Lui dice per «portare avanti progetti da povero pensionato», ma Matteo Salvini, leader della Lega, da mesi lo reclama come candidato sindaco del centrodestra per sfidare Virginia Raggi, che si ricandida. A queste lusinghe finora Bertolaso ha sempre resistito dicendo che non vuole fare il sindaco ma, appunto, il pensionato.
Bertolaso lascia Lombardia, decisione a sorpresa
Secondo quanto spiegato dall’ex numero uno della Protezione Civile, il suo ruolo il Lombardia si sarebbe esaurito: «Il 29 aprile arriveremo a 100 mila somministrazioni in un giorno, il 30 le supereremo per farne 110 mila», ha detto da Porro, chiarendo anche che «c’è un accordo con il Generale Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, con una ipotesi di minima, di fare 97 mila vaccini al giorno». Ma, ha aggiunto Bertolaso, «abbiamo una macchina da guerra in grado di farne 140 mila al giorno, sempre se ci arriveranno le dosi dall’Europa».
Però per il commissario lombardo ormai sulla porta «la macchina è organizzata, la locomotiva è in corso» tanto che «la Lombardia anche in questo ambito sta facendo da apripista e sta dimostrando che le vaccinazioni massive in centri bellissimi, vere e proprie astronavi, come quelli di Milano, Brescia e Bergamo e in tutte le altre province, sono un modello». Proprio per questo, quindi, «la Lombardia è assolutamente in grado di fare da sola: Bertolaso – ha detto l’ex capo della Protezione Civile, parlando in terza persona – è servito all’inizio per dare una mano, per motivare e riorganizzare la macchina. Ora finalmente Bertolaso può dedicarsi ad altro».
