All’Italia serve davvero un nuovo lockdown?
— “Bisogna guardare i numeri. Da due settimane abbiamo l’indice di positività che è intorno al 5 per cento e le ospedalizzazioni non sono assolutamente cresciute. Ci aspettiamo una terza ondata nelle prossime 4-6 settimane, ma fare un lockdown preventivo prima ancora che questo accada non ha alcuna logica scientifica”.
“Quello che io raccomanderei è di intervenire chirurgicamente e localmente, dove ci sono situazioni di elevata circolazione delle varianti. Per capirci, un conto è la situazione umbra, un altro è la Sardegna o la Valle d’Aosta, che stanno andando verso la zona bianca. Fare una misura unica per 65 milioni di abitanti non so quanto abbia senso”.

“Non dimentichiamo che noi veniamo già da un lockdown, perché nelle scorse settimane tante regioni erano colorate di rosso. Chi evoca le chiusure di marzo 2020, con la chiusura dei cantieri, delle attività produttive e di tutte le scuole deve anche dire come intende farlo. Posto il fatto che oggi saremmo gli unici in Europa a prenderci una responsabilità di questo tipo”.
Come dovremmo affrontare la terza ondata, quindi?
— “Si può continuare a lavorare come abbiamo lavorato fino ad oggi e chiudere dove c’è una maggiore circolazione di varianti. A quel punto scatterebbe la zona arancione o rossa. Il sistema che stiamo utilizzando avrà sicuramente i suoi difetti, ma almeno è basato almeno su un modello con dei parametri che monitorano la situazione. Prima di pensare ad una misura che avrebbe dei risvolti economici seri, penserei ad altro”.

— “Rendere obbligatorio l’utilizzo della mascherina Ffp2 nei luoghi chiusi, incentivare le analisi genomiche per isolare le varianti, anche le nuove, promuovere l’uso dei tamponi molecolari e dei tamponi rapidi di terza generazione, andare avanti con le vaccinazioni”.
