Bambini Covid in aumento – L’appello dell’ospedale pediatrico Santobono di Napoli. Le ultime notizie sul Covid dall’italia e dal mondo 24 ore su 24 tutti gli aggiornamenti live.

Aumentano i contagi anche tra i bambini da 0 a 15 anni.

All’ospedale Santobono se ne registrano “4-5 casi al giorno con sintomi non particolarmente preoccupanti – avverte il medico Vincenzo Tipo, responsabile Pronto soccorso – Da un’analisi più attenta del dato abbiamo verificato che il 50% di questi sono bambini di età 0-3 mesi con madri negative al Covid.

I sintomi per questa fascia d’età sono: febbre, inappetenza, irritabilità, diarrea, tosse e lievi difficoltà respiratorie. Volendo ipotizzare la catena del contagio consideriamo altamente probabile che questo sia intrafamiliare ma non verticale (madre/figlio)”.

In pratica i bambini non vengono contagiati dalle madri ma da persone che frequetano la casa.

“Il fenomeno  – spiega il medico  – è da ricercare nella cattiva abitudine di frequentare spesso ed insistentemente una casa dove c’è un neonato o un lattantino, di sbaciucchiarlo continuamente, di passarselo di braccia in braccia e di fare tutte quelle moine a noi tutti fin troppo note. Questo non è più possibile”.

“Il bambino piccolo è un organismo fragile e suscettibile pertanto va tutelato – sottolinea Tipo – protetto e non esposto a un potenziale pericolo”.

Bambini Covid – Come comportarsi con i neonati

Ecco le semplici regole di comportamento quando in casa c’è un neonato o un bimbo di pochi mesi:
1) limitare, se non evitare, visite di parenti, amici, conoscenti e vari;
2) vietare a tutti ( compreso padre e fratelli) di stare vicino al bimbo senza indossare una mascherina ;
3) non lasciare baciare il bimbo;
4) manipolare il bambino solo dopo aver lavato le mani ed usato un gel idroalcolico;
5) tenerlo, per quanto possibile, in un ambiente tranquillo e poco frequentato;
6) arieggiare spesso l’ambiente di soggiorno.

“Queste elementari norme, che dovrebbero valere sempre, sono assolutamente indispensabili in epoca Covid – sottolinea il medico – Se manteniamo alta l’attenzione e la prudenza ne usciremo presto e bene. Approfitto per rivolgere un grande ringraziamento allo straordinario team medico infermieristico del Pronto Soccorso dell’Ospedale Santobono per il grande lavoro che sta svolgendo con la massima professionalità e l’altissimo senso di responsabilità”.
