A parlare è Simona Riussi, insegnante di 55 anni e moglie di Sandro Tognatti, il prof 57enne di Biella morto nei giorni scorsi qualche ora dopo aver ricevuto il vaccino anti Covid AstraZeneca.
La moglie di Sandro, che come lui aveva ricevuto sabato scorso l’iniezione, non ha mai avuto dubbi sull’efficacia del vaccino, e questa mattina lo ha ribadito in una lunga intervista rilasciata a La Provincia Pavese, a cui ha raccontato anche gli attimi immediatamente precedenti il malore del marito.

“Io non ho avuto nemmeno una linea di febbre – ha raccontato -. Mio marito durante la notte ha accusato una febbre molto alta, sino a 39.5. La domenica mattina è sceso per bere il caffè con i suoi genitori, che vivono vicino a noi. Poi è salito in mansarda a riposarsi. L’ho chiamato al cellulare ma non rispondeva”. Dopo aver notato che l’uomo non respirava, ha provato a rianimarlo lei stessa mentre aspettava che arrivassero i soccorsi. Ma non c’è stato nulla da fare. Sempre domenica la procuratrice capo Teresa Angela Camelio ha disposto l’autopsia, oltre al sequestro cautelativo dell’intero lotto AstraZeneca con cui è stato vaccinato Tognatti.
Poi, mentre ieri i Nas in tutta Italia rintracciavano le fiale da bloccare, è arrivata la decisione del governo di sospendere in via precauzionale e temporanea la somministrazione di AstraZeneca su tutto il territorio nazionale, insieme ad altri paesi europei, tra cui Germania, Francia e Spagna, in attesa che l’Ema si pronunci sul da farsi. Infine, ieri sono arrivati i risultati dell’autopsia, eseguita dal medico legale Roberto Testi, che non ha evidenziato trombi.
A fornire ulteriori risposte saranno gli esami istologici i cui risultati arriveranno nei prossimi giorni, ma al momento è esclusa qualsiasi correlazione con la vaccinazione. L’ipotesi più probabile che fanno i medici legali alla luce dell’esame autoptico è che si sia trattato di una morte cardiaca improvvisa.
“Consiglio a tutti di vaccinarsi, l’ho già detto più volte — ha concluso la professoressa Riussi —. Ma non sono un medico: è solo un comportamento che ritengo giusto a prescindere dalla tragedia di mio marito. Mi sembra l’unico modo per vincere il Covid”.
Anche il resto della famiglia Tognatti ha ricevuto il vaccino, dai genitori di Sandro, entrambi over 80, alla figlia Ginevra, di 23 anni ma che da qualche tempo sta muovendo i primi passi nel mondo dell’insegnamento.
