Scoperto traffico illecito di cuccioli: è successo per caso

Scoperto traffico illecito di cuccioli – La Polizia Stradale di Altedo, nel Ferrarese, ha denunciato due persone per traffico illecito di animali da compagnia: durante un controllo sull’autostrada A13, gli agenti hanno notato un furgone con targa polacca che viaggiava ad alta velocità e lo hanno inseguito e fermato nei pressi dell’area di servizio “Po ovest”.

Aperto il portellone posteriore i poliziotti agenti hanno scoperto sette cuccioli di cane di diverse razze, cinque di Pomerania, un Bassotto tedesco, un cucciolo di Shiba, e due cuccioli di gatto, tutti visibilmente al di sotto dell’età minima prevista per il distacco dalla loro mamma. Alle richieste di chiarimenti conducente e passeggero, trentenni, di origini bielorussa, ma residenti in Polonia, hanno riferito di aver avuto l’incarico di trasportare i cuccioli da un allevamento in Bielorussia a un acquirente italiano.

Mentre esibivano i documenti sanitari dei cuccioli, però, si mostravano nervosi e insofferenti, e così gli agenti della Polstrada di Altedo hanno approfondito gli accertamenti in ufficio. Contattati i veterinari dell’Azienda sanitaria di Bologna, è stato verificato che i documenti dei cuccioli erano stati falsificati per consentirne la importazione in Italia. Tutti risultano avere un’età inferiore ai quattro mesi previsti dalle norme comunitarie per l’importazione.

Inoltre, il fantomatico acquirente italiano era lo stesso spedizioniere che dalla Bielorussia aveva affidato i cuccioli ai due uomini, da qui l’ipotesi di un trasporto non autorizzato: dopo aver consultato la Procura di Ferrara, i due bielorussi sono stati denunciati per traffico illecito di animali da compagnia e i cuccioli affidati a cittadini.
