Ponte Morandi – A due anni e mezzo dalla tragedia del ponte Morandi, il cui crollo provocò la morte di 43 persone, è iniziato il secondo incidente probatorio con circa 200 persone tra avvocati, periti e consulenti, familiari delle vittime e magistrati che hanno preso posto nella tensostruttura allestita a tempo di record nell’atrio del tribunale, per garantire il rispetto delle norme anti Covid.
Intanto Roberto Battiloro, padre di Giovanni – una delle 43 vittime – ha raccontato di aver rifiutato un maxi risarcimento che gli era stato offerto per la morte del figlio: un milione di euro, a cui ha detto di no perché «la vita di mio figlio non ha prezzo, voglio prima verità e giustizia», ha confessato al Corriere della Sera. Giovanni aveva 29 anni ed era in auto con gli amici Gerardo, Antonio e Matteo: stavano andando in Spagna in vacanza, ma per loro fu l’ultimo viaggio.
Da quel triste giorno, la vigilia di Ferragosto del 2018, il papà chiede giustizia: «Vado in auto in Liguria ma eviterò il nuovo ponte – ha detto – non voglio passare da lì perché mi ricorda che la giustizia non è stata veloce quanto la ricostruzione».

Gli avvocati di Aspi, aggiunge Battiloro, «ci hanno contattato quattro volte, con offerte anche molto importanti. Ma io non ne avrei accettati neanche 10 di milioni: non è un Superenalotto, mi ha sorpreso come siano riusciti a comprarsi 40 famiglie. Prima di tutto deve uscire la verità».
Il giudice per le indagini preliminari Angela Nutini ha fissato udienze tutti i giorni, compreso il sabato, per tutto il mese di febbraio. Si tratta di una vera e propria anticipazione della prova con tanto di contradditorio tra le varie parti. Il secondo incidente probatorio serve a stabilire le cause che hanno provocato la tragedia. Il primo, che si era concluso lo scorso luglio, aveva cristallizzato lo stato del viadotto, in base ai reperti, al momento del crollo.
La procura ha iscritto nel registro degli indagati 71 persone tra ex dirigenti e tecnici di Autostrade e Spea (la società che si occupava delle manutenzioni) e dirigenti del ministero delle Infrastrutture e del provveditorato, oltre alle due società. Le accuse, a vario titolo, sono di omicidio colposo plurimo, crollo doloso, attentato alla sicurezza dei trasporti, falso, omissione d’atti d’ufficio, rimozione o omissione dolosa di cautele contro infortuni sul lavoro.
Oggi parleranno i periti del gip che illustreranno la relazione depositata a fine dicembre. Nel documento, i super esperti hanno sottolineato che già l’ingegnere Morandi aveva messo in luce una serie di difetti di esecuzione del progetto ma, soprattutto, avevano indicato nella mancanza di manutenzione la causa del crollo.
«L’aspettativa è grande – ha detto all’ingresso l’avvocato Francesco Tagliaferri che difende l’ex amministratore delegato di Spea Antonio Galatà – poi vedremo». «Vedermi faccia a faccia con Giovanni Castellucci (che potrebbe assistere alle udienze) sarà scioccante – ha detto Emmanuel Diaz, fratello di una delle vittime – ma non è solo lui il responsabile, era un sistema e la verità emergerà, ci sarà una giustizia esemplare».
