Nella notte Benno Neumair è stato arrestato dai carabinieri con l’accusa di omicidio volontario e occultamento di cadavere. Il trentenne istruttore di fitness si è presentato in Procura accompagnato dai suoi legali — che hanno detto: «Lo abbiamo accompagnato noi in Procura per farlo costituire spontaneamente» —, dopo aver saputo in serata dalla stessa Procura che gli sarebbe stato notificato a breve un provvedimento di fermo molto articolato. Benno è arrivato davanti ai magistrati all’una di notte, e ora si trova nel carcere di via Dante a Bolzano. Lunedì ci sarà l’udienza di convalida. Secondo la nota della Procura nel corso delle indagini sono stati acquisiti alcuni nuovi elementi che hanno permesso di incastrare il trentenne insegnante.

Fin dall’inizio dell’indagine i sospetti di sono indirizzati su Benno Neumair. Quando era stato sentito come testimone c’erano molti punti che non tornavano nella sua ricostruzione. Il più importante era il buco di mezz’ora nel suo alibi: il suo telefonino infatti era rimasto staccato dalle 21.32 alle 21.57 della sera del 4 gennaio in cui sono i scomparsi i suoi genitori Laura Perselli e Peter Neumair.

Insieme a questo molti altri piccoli dettagli raccolti nel corso di un’indagine lunga e complessa. Ovvero il tentativo di lavare l’auto dei genitori con l’acqua ossigenata qualche giorno dopo la scomparsa, i vestiti lasciati a casa della fidanzata e le tante piccole incongruenze che hanno cominciato ad emergere dalla sua ricostruzione. Per provare a giustificare la sua posizione, Benno Neumair aveva anche consegnato agli inquirenti un piccolo quantitativo di hashish sostenendo che, la sera della scomparsa dei genitori, si era fermato a fumare uno spinello nei pressi del laghetto dei pescatori. A circa due km da quel punto, sul ponte di Ischia Frizzi, i carabinieri hanno trovato tracce del sangue di Peter Neumair.

Caso Neumair, decisive le testimonianze

Decisive anche le testimonianze di amici e familiari. Questi hanno parlato di un rapporto conflittuale con i genitori degenerato quando Benno è tornato a vivere nell’appartamento di via Castel Roncolo. Riportandolo a casa, Peter e Laura speravano di aiutare il figlio a trovare stabilità emotiva dopo i problemi avuto con il doping. Ma la situazione è degenerata e anche i vicini di casa hanno riferito di continui litigi. Tanti piccoli indizi che hanno convinto i pm Igor Secco e Federica Iovene a firmare il provvedimento di fermo, notificato nella notte all’avvocato Flavio Moccia che, di fronte, ad una ricostruzione così dettagliata ha convinto Benno a presentarsi spontaneamente in Procura.

Nessuna confessione

Benno Neumair però non ha fatto alcuna confessione e i corpi dei genitori, nonostante settimane di ricerche, nessuno ha ancora trovato i corpi. Il sospetto è che Benno li abbia gettati nel fiume Adige dal ponte di Ischia Frizzi tra Bolzano e Vadena ma i corpi ancora non sono emersi dalle gelide acque del fiume. «Capiranno che io non c’entro niente» aveva confidato ai suoi avvocati Angelo Polo e Flavio Moccia quando, dieci giorni fa, la Procura lo aveva iscritto nel registro degli indagati. Ora la sua posizione si è fatta più complessa.
