Benno Neumair – In prigione, Benno Neumair continua a ripetere di non aver mai ucciso i genitori, la coppia di insegnanti in pensione scomparsa a Bolzano il 4 gennaio 2021. Dal carcere di Bolzano, il 30enne continua a dichiararsi innocente, nonostante sia attualmente l’unico grande sospettato per la scomparsa dei due. Il ritrovamento del cadavere di Laura Perselli, 68 anni, dovrebbe fornire la prova regina nonostante 32 giorni trascorsi nell’acqua del fiume.
Il freddo della corrente, però, sembra averlo protetto e sembra quindi non impossibile l’accertamento di uno strangolamento. “Quando gli ho detto del ritrovamento del cadavere di sua madre, Benno ha pianto tantissimo – ha dichiarato l’avvocato Flavio Moccia – ha solo detto “la mia mamma” e neppure ha terminato la frase che si è messo a piangere. Ha sempre sperato che i genitori fossero vivi”. L’altro legale, Angelo Polo, racconta una scena simile: Benno che lo abbraccia e piange per mezz’ora.

Vive l’accusa in maniera incredula: si guarda attorno come un bambino di 30 anni. “Benno è incredulo e ha voglia di combattere – spiega l’avvocato Polo – e in genere è una reazione che vedo nelle persone innocenti”. A fine incontro, racconta, il giovane gli ha chiesto un favore: uno specchietto per radersi meglio.
Benno, da sempre molto preso dalla cura del suo aspetto, era diventato dipendente da sostanze: anabolizzanti, medicine e farmaci di ogni tipo. Poi, forse, anche la droga. Il conflitto con la famiglia non era un segreto, così come è apparso subito chiaro che neanche con la sorella Madè vi siano rapporti sereni: lei, medico in Germania, ha iniziato a sospettare di lui già dalle prime telefonate senza risposta la sera della scomparsa.
