Ancora altre tragedie sul lavoro. Un incidente è avvenuto in un’azienda di mangimi di Sorbolo, comune della bassa parmense. Andrea Recchia, operaio di 37 anni, originario della Basilicata, è morto schiacciato da un contenitore pieno di mangime per animali del peso di diversi quintali, secondo una prima ricostruzione dei fatti avvenuti ieri sera, intorno alle 21.30. Oltre ai mezzi del 118 sono intervenuti i carabinieri e la medicina del lavoro che hanno messo sotto sequestro l’area.
“Ennesima tragedia sul lavoro. Una giovane vita spezzata, ieri sera, in una attività alle porte di Sorbolo. Sono notizie che lasciano tanto sgomento. Siamo vicini ai famigliari in questa terribile tragedia”. Queste le parole del sindaco di Sorbolo-Mezzani Nicola Cesari.
“Un ragazzo simpatico e solare, così lo ricorderemo”, ha scritto, in un post su Facebook, Piero Marrese, sindaco di Montalbano Jonico (Matera), cittadina lucana di cui era originario Andrea Recchia.
“Esprimo – ha aggiunto il primo cittadino – la mia vicinanza e quella di tutta la comunità montalbanese alla famiglia Recchia per l’improvvisa quanto inaspettata perdita di Andrea a causa di un incidente sul luogo di lavoro”.
Non si è ancora spenta l’eco del drammatico caso della morte di Luana D’Orazio, morta a 22 anni perché risucchiata in una pressa mentre lavorava in un’azienda tessile di Montemurlo, in provincia di Prato, che altri decessi hanno aggiornato il triste bilancio.

I numeri della tragedia
Il quadro tracciato dall’Inail sul primo trimestre del 2021 parla chiaro: le denunce di infortunio sul lavoro con esito mortale presentate all’istituto entro il mese di marzo sono state 185, 19 in più rispetto alle 166 registrate nel primo trimestre del 2020 (+11,4%), effetto, sottolinea l’Inail, degli incrementi osservati in tutti i mesi del 2021 rispetto a quelli del 2020. In sostanza due persone ogni giorno muoiono mentre fanno il loro lavoro. Sabato, in occasione della Festa del Lavoro, la denuncia era arrivata forte dai sindacati: “L’anno scorso oltre 2000 lavoratori e lavoratrici morti, 185 morti nei primi tre mesi 2021. Pretendiamo zero morti sul lavoro”.
A livello nazionale i dati rilevati dall’Inail al 31 marzo evidenziano per il primo trimestre un decremento solo dei casi in itinere, mentre ci si reca sul posto di lavoro, passati da 52 a 31, mentre quelli avvenuti durante il turno sono stati 40 in più (da 114 a 154).
Dall’analisi territoriale emerge un aumento di due casi mortali nel Nord-Ovest (da 45 a 47), di quattro nel Nord-Est (da 34 a 38) e di 11 casi sia al Centro (da 23 a 34) che al Sud (da 47 a 58). Nelle Isole, invece, si registra un calo di nove decessi (da 17 a 8). Le regioni che presentano l’aumento più consistente sono il Lazio (+12 casi), l’Abruzzo (+8), la Lombardia (+6) e la Campania (+5), quelle con il maggior decremento Sicilia (-7 casi), Piemonte e Puglia (-4 decessi per entrambe). Da inizio pandemia, l’Inail conteggia anche le denunce dei casi di chi è morto dopo aver contratto il virus a lavoro, che da marzo 2020 a marzo 2021 sono state 551, di cui l’82,8% uomini.
