Minacce di morte al Presidente della Repubblica. Sono dieci le persone indagate dalla Procura di Roma nell’ ambito dell’inchiesta avviata dopo le minacce e gli insulti via social ai danni di Sergio Mattarella. La Polizia di Stato con personale della Polizia Postale e delle Digos territorialmente competenti ha effettuato perquisizioni personali, locali e informatiche a carico di dieci soggetti «residenti in varie località del territorio nazionale per aver avuto un ruolo significativo nella campagna d’odio – è detto in una nota della Polizia – veicolata sul web anche attraverso gravi minacce, nei confronti di numerose figure istituzionali ed in particolar modo del Presidente della Repubblica, soprattutto a seguito delle misure adottate per il contenimento della pandemia». L’attività di approfondimento investigativo «ha consentito di acquisire rilevanti indizi nei confronti degli odierni indagati».

Le minacce contro il Presidente della Repubblica sono alla base dell’inchiesta nella quale si ipotizza il reato di offesa all onore e al prestigio del Capo dello Stato. Un’indagine per reati perseguibili d’ufficio e che quindi ha portato la magistratura a muoversi in numerose città senza la necessità di una denuncia, con un’azione resasi necessaria vista la pesantezza e la gravità dei contenuti dei messaggi circolati sui social. Insomma, non semplici critiche magari accompagnate da offese, ma auspici di morte per il Presidente della Repubblica che non potevano non richiedere l’apertura dell’inchiesta per l’individuazione degli autori di tali attacchi.
Oltre al Presidente della Repubblica gli «haters» finiti nel registro degli indagati della Procura di Roma, nei mesi scorsi hanno preso di mira anche l’ex presidente del Consiglio, Giuseppe Conte e l’ex numero uno del ministero del Lavoro, Elsa Fornero. Messaggi minacciosi e offensivi finiti all’attenzione degli inquirenti in un procedimento che vede indagate una decina di persone oggetto oggi di perquisizioni.
