Ecco le sue parole riportate da AdnKronos: “Abbiamo appena varato un Dpcm con misure più restrittive, ma necessarie. Quel Dpcm è nato da un lungo confronto tra tutte le forze di maggioranza, rappresentate dai rispettivi capi-delegazione. Queste misure non sono in discussione. Piuttosto vanno spiegate a una popolazione in sofferenza, che legittimamente chiede di capire i motivi delle scelte del governo”.
“Non abbiamo deciso queste chiusure indiscriminatamente. Tutte le misure messe in campo rispondono alla necessità di tenere sotto controllo la curva dei contagi. Con lo smart working e il ricorso alla didattica a distanza nelle scuole secondarie di secondo grado, puntiamo a ridurre momenti di incontri e soprattutto l’afflusso nei mezzi di trasporto durante il giorno, perché sappiamo che è soprattutto lì che si creano affollamenti e quindi occasioni di contagio”.
Conte ammette i motivi delle chiusure
“Acquistare subito centinaia di nuovi mezzi pubblici è impossibile, per questo andava decongestionato il sistema del trasporto pubblico agendo su scuola e lavoro e altre occasioni di uscita come lo sono l’attività sportiva in palestre e piscine”.
“Stessa cosa abbiamo fatto la sera. Abbiamo ridotto tutte le occasioni di socialità che spingono le persone a uscire nelle ore serali e a spostarsi con i mezzi pubblici. Uscire la sera per andare al ristorante, cinema o teatro significa prendere mezzi pubblici o taxi, fermarsi prima o dopo in una piazza a bere qualcosa o a incontrarsi con amici abbassando la propria soglia di attenzione e creando assembramenti“.
“Ecco perché abbiamo sospeso le attività di ristoranti, cinema e teatri. Così si è meno incentivati a uscire di casa. Non solo: diminuendo le occasioni di socialità, abbassiamo anche il numero di contatti che ognuno di noi può avere, rendendo così più facile fare i tracciamenti nel caso in cui una persona risulti positiva. Senza queste misure la curva è destinata a sfuggirci di mano”.
“Sono queste le motivazioni che ci hanno spinto ad adottare misure che sappiamo essere dure. Ora è il momento della responsabilità. La politica, e questo vale soprattutto per chi è al governo, deve saper dar conto delle proprie scelte ai cittadini, assumersi la responsabilità delle proprie azioni e non soffiare sul fuoco del malessere sociale per qualche percentuale di consenso nei sondaggi”.
“Ora è il momento di mettere il Paese in sicurezza, evitando la diffusione del contagio e il rischio di non riuscire a garantire cure e ricoveri adeguati e di non riuscire a preservare il tessuto economico e produttivo. Siamo tutti pienamente consapevoli delle ricadute economiche di queste misure, delle difficoltà a cui molti cittadini italiani vanno incontro, penso a chi lavora nel settore della ristorazione, del turismo, dello spettacolo, della cultura, delle palestre e di tutti i settori connessi”.
“Ma proprio per questo oggi approviamo un decreto importante con ingenti risorse che ci permette di ristorare tutte queste persone, di dare loro in maniera rapida e diretta risorse per colmare le perdite dovute alle chiusure. Saranno soldi certi e rapidi”.
