La 24enne studentessa di medicina ha condiviso su Instagram una foto dopo aver ricevuto la prima dose. La figlia del multimilionario ha sottolineato l’importanza di farsi immunizzare e di utilizzare comunque le mascherine anche dopo la seconda inoculazione.
La giovane poi ha trovato anche spazio per una battuta tagliente nei confronti di tutto il mondo complottista. Questi da tempo prendono di mira il padre. «Per sfortuna non mi è stata impiantata l’intelligenza di mio padre nel cervello…Se solo l’Rna ne avesse il potere…!», sono le parole che con un chiaro accento ironico chiudono il post. Il riferimento evidente è a una delle tante teorie cospirazioniste sostenute dai no-vax secondo cui i vaccini sarebbero stati creati come veicoli per inserire nel corpo dei chip per controllare successivamente le persone.

Uno dei nemici principali dei negazionisti è proprio Bill Gates che già in un Ted Talk del 2015 aveva lanciato l’allarme sul rischio di imminenti pandemie e che una volta esplosa l’emergenza Covid si è subito impegnato attraverso la sua fondazione nella ricerca di un vaccino e nel renderlo accessibile anche alle persone più povere, come sottolineato in una lettera. Un attivismo, confermato anche delle molte previsioni su quando potrebbe terminare l’emergenza e su come sarà il mondo post-Covid, che lo ha però trasformato in un perfetto bersaglio dei complottisti online. Secondo questa lettura il fondatore di Microsoft sarebbe addirittura responsabile della pandemia, creata per poter guadagnare in combutta con le case farmaceutiche. Bill Gates è anche tornato sull’argomento proprio in una recente intervista rilasciata a Reuters, chiedendosi come sia possibile che così tante persone credano a questo genere di teorie.
