Però guarda caso io mi ritrovo ad avere il reparto invaso da nuove varianti, e questo riguarda tutta quanta l’Italia e fa facilmente prevedere che a breve avremo problemi più seri. Questa è la realtà attorno alla quale è inutile fare ricami”.
A parlare è un preoccupato Massimo Galli, primario infettivologo dell’ospedale Sacco di Milano, docente all’università Statale del capoluogo lombardo, intervenuto durante la trasmissione Mattino 5.
“Le avvisaglie” di come sta evolvendo l’epidemia di Covid-19 nella Penisola “vengono guardando semplicemente un pochino al di là del nostro naso, vedendo che cosa è successo e sta succedendo negli altri Paesi europei, e considerando che ci sono queste nuove varianti, piaccia o no”, ha spiegato lo scienziato.
“Le varianti non ce le siamo inventate noi – ha precisato Galli – le varianti ci sono e sono maggiormente contagiose, quindi vuol dire che hanno maggiore facilità a diffondersi in determinate condizioni che non sono situazioni da ritenersi sicure. Questo è molto spiacevole, ma è un dato di fatto”.
