Facebook Myanmar – La notizia del blocco dei social dopo il colpo di Stato avvenuto in Birmania: stop a Facebook, Whatsapp e Instagram.
Già nel giorno del golpe Internet era stato bloccato, impedendo la comunicazione tra la popolazione e gli aggiornamenti sull’evolversi della situazione. Ma oggi la giunta militare che ha arrestato Aung San Suu Kyi e preso il potere, ha deciso di tagliare anche l’accesso a Facebook. Un social particolarmente popolare in Myanmar.
Un ulteriore mossa che fomenta la resistenza e le proteste, che aumentano di giorno in giorno dopo la cacciata del governo uscito vincitore dalle elezioni di novembre. Intanto la leader della Lega nazionale della democrazia è in carcere con l’accusa di avere “importato illegalmente” dei dei walkie-talkie. Motivo per cui rischia fino a 2 anni.
Gli utenti hanno affermato che l’interruzione è iniziata mercoledì sera tardi. E il fornitore di rete mobile Telenor Myanmar ha confermato, in una dichiarazione, che gli operatori di telefonia mobile e i fornitori di servizi internet in Birmania hanno ricevuto una direttiva dal ministero delle Comunicazioni per bloccare temporaneamente Facebook. “Ai fornitori di telecomunicazioni in Myanmar è stato ordinato di bloccare temporaneamente Facebook. Esortiamo le autorità a ripristinare la connessione in modo che le persone possano comunicare con la famiglia e gli amici e accedere a informazioni importanti”, ha affermato un portavoce di Facebook.
Il partito politico estromesso dal colpo di Stato di lunedì, la Lega nazionale per la democrazia, e altri attivisti hanno fatto appello ai cittadini per una campagna di disobbedienza civile. Il tutto per opporsi al rovesciamento del governo da parte dei militari.
In prima linea c’è il personale medico, che ha dichiarato che non lavorerà per il governo militare. Il personale sanitario è molto rispettato per il lavoro svolto durante la pandemia da coronavirus, che sta mettendo a dura prova il sistema sanitario.
