Cesare Cremonini racconta un brutto periodo che ha attraversato. Una condizione particolare che ha portato il suo medico a diagnosticargli la schizofrenia: “Quasi ogni giorno – ha spiegato Cesare Cremonini – sempre più spesso, sentivo un mostro premere contro il petto”.

Una sensazione che Cesare Cremonini ha raccontato in un’intervista al “Corriere della Sera”: “Quasi ogni giorno, sempre più spesso, sentivo un mostro premere contro il petto, salire alla gola. Mi pareva quasi di vederlo. E lo psichiatra me lo fece vedere. L’immagine si trova anche su Internet. ‘È questo?’, chiese. Era quello. Braccia corte e appuntite, gambe ruvide e pelose. La diagnosi era: schizofrenia. Percepita dalla vittima come un’allucinazione che viene dall’interno. Un essere deforme che si aggira nel subconscio come se fosse casa sua”.
Lui veniva da un periodo, durato circa due anni, in cui è stato ossessionato per la musica: “Smisi di tagliarmi la barba e i capelli. Mangiavo solo pizze a pranzo e cena. A volte due pizze pure a cena. Superai i cento chili. Non facevo più l’amore, se non da ubriaco. Avevo smesso qualsiasi attività fisica. Lo psichiatra mi chiese cosa mi faceva sentire meglio. Risposi: camminare. Non lavorare; il lavoro era la causa. La cura era camminare. Ho camminato per centinaia di chilometri e scoperto i sentieri di collina. Ho preso anche farmaci, cose leggere, di cui non parlo per rispetto a chi ha dovuto fare cure farmacologiche pesanti”.
Il peggio è ormai passato: “Quando sento il mostro borbottare, mi rimetto in cammino. Su una collina, in montagna. Sono tornato dallo psichiatra alla fine del primo tour negli stadi. Mi ha chiesto se vedevo ancora i mostri. Gli ho risposto di no, ma che ogni tanto li sento chiacchierare. E lui: “Let them talk’…” (lasciali parlare…).
