Così, in un’intervista concessa al quotidiano “La Stampa”, si è espresso Walter Ricciardi, consulente del ministro della Salute per l’emergenza coronavirus e professore di Igiene all’Università Cattolica. Come fare per abbassare davvero la curva dei contagi?
“Lo abbiamo già visto, l’unica strada è quella di lockdown lunghi e nazionali. Anche la ‘zona rossa‘ ora in vigore andrebbe prolungata, almeno fino a metà gennaio, se vogliamo vedere effetti positivi”, ha detto. “Se dal 7 gennaio, di colpo, facciamo riprendere tutte le attività, assisteremo certamente a un rialzo della curva epidemica”.

Il discorso, ha aggiunto ancora Ricciardi, è dunque esteso anche alla riapertura delle scuole, con il Governo che intende riportare due milioni e mezzo di studenti a scuola il 7 gennaio, almeno al 50% in presenza, come ribadito dal premier Giuseppe Conte nella conferenza stampa di fine anno, svoltasi ieri, 30 dicembre.
“So che è impopolare dirlo, ma non è il caso”, ha riconosciuto Ricciardi, “si possono riportare i ragazzi in classe solo con una circolazione bassa del virus, non con quella attuale. Le scuole sono ambienti sicuri, ma è la situazione esterna a sconsigliarne la riapertura. Altrimenti rischiamo di richiuderle nel giro di poche settimane“, ha poi spiegato ancora l’esperto.
“Auspico che il 7 gennaio le scuole secondarie di secondo grado possano ripartire con una didattica integrata mista almeno al 50% in presenza, nel segno della responsabilità, senza mettere a rischio le comunità scolastiche”, aveva detto Conte.
“Se, come mi dicono, i tavoli delle prefetture hanno lavorato in modo efficace, potremo ripartire quantomeno col 50%. Abbiamo approfittato di dicembre per un ulteriore passo avanti, in una logica di massima flessibilità. Le prefetture hanno avuto il compito di coordinare soluzioni flessibili, da valutare paese per paese, scuola per scuola. C’è stata disponibilità a differenziare gli orari di ingresso anche negli uffici pubblici”.
