L’ospedale Sacco di Milano annuncia: “Si cercano volontari per sperimentare il vaccino italiano anti Covid Reithera“. Questa ricerca fa parte della fase due e tre dello studio chiamato “Covitar”. La struttura ospedaliera cerca partecipanti sani a cui sarà poi corrisposta un’indennità di massimo 800 euro.
Dalla fase 1 è emerso un buon profilo di sicurezza
La sperimentazione clinica del vaccino made in Italy – il cui nome ufficiale è “GRAd-CoV-2” – non si svolgerà solo nel Dipartimento di Malattie Infettive del nosocomio milanese, ma anche in altri 24 centri nazionali. Il siero rientra nel gruppo dei vaccini a vettore virale e – come si legge in una nota stampa dell’ospedale Sacco – consiste in un adenovirus che non si replica nel corpo umano, ma è in grado di stimolare una forte immunità verso la proteina Spike.
In base agli studi condotti dai ricercatori della struttura ospedaliera sembrerebbe che dalla fase uno sia emerso un buon profilo di sicurezza: “Ci sono scarse reazioni avverse, limitate per intensità e durata. Dopo 28 giorni dalla vaccinazione – si legge in un comunicato pubblicato sul sito dell’ospedale – oltre il 94 per cento dei soggetti nella fascia d’età 18-55 anni vaccinati con una sola dose ha prodotto anticorpi”. A questi si aggiunge un altro 90 per cento che invece ha sviluppato anticorpi in grado di neutralizzare il virus. Sembrerebbe inoltre che la risposta nei soggetti anziani sia uguale a quella dei soggetti più giovani.
Chi si può candidare e cosa dovrà fare
Si possono candidare tutti coloro che:
- Hanno un’età superiore ai 18 anni e che non hanno contratto un’infezione da Sars-CoV-2 confermata attraverso un tampone molecolare.
- Non hanno ricevuto un altro vaccino anti Covid
- Che non hanno malattie gravi e o incontrollate
- Che non siano in gravidanza o in allattamento
Chiunque fosse in linea con questi criteri e fosse interessato dovrà essere disponibile a sottoporsi a circa 4 visite nei primi 2 mesi – dove saranno effettuati una serie di accertamenti tra cui prelievi e tamponi molecolari – e poi altre 3 visite.
