Vaccino in farmacia – In Piemonte il vaccino anti Covid si potrà fare anche in farmacia. La Regione e Federfarma Piemonte e Assofarm hanno siglato un accordo che prevede appunto il coinvolgimento dei farmacisti, che saranno chiamati ad iniettare il siero di AstraZeneca, che non richiede temperature di conservazione eccessivamente basse.
“Rimettiamo in pista il collaudato tandem farmacisti-medici di famiglia che in appena due mesi ha permesso di vaccinare quasi un milione di piemontesi contro l’influenza. Un sistema di distribuzione e somministrazione dei vaccini che ha dimostrato di funzionare bene e che sarà determinante anche sul fronte del Covid-19“, spiega Luigi Icardi, assessore della Sanità piemontese, che già ieri aveva annunciato di aver raggiunto un’intesa simile proprio con i medici di base.
Vaccino in farmacia, ecco da quando e dove si potrà fare
Secondo l’assessore si tratta di “un risultato strategicamente molto importante, perché ribadisce il ruolo di primo piano dei farmacisti nell’ambito della medicina territoriale, consentendo una copertura vaccinale assolutamente capillare ed efficace”.
L’accordo con i farmacisti riguarda in particolare due aspetti fondamentali: la logistica e la somministrazione diretta del vaccino. Sul primo aspetto l’assessorato alla Sanità stanzierà circa un milione di euro, i farmacisti potranno occuparsi dello stoccaggio, della distribuzione e della consegna su prenotazione dei vaccini ai medici di medicina generale, secondo le procedure utilizzate nella campagna antinfluenzale.
In più, la somministrazione del vaccino potrà avvenire direttamente in farmacia, con la supervisione di un medico. Sul piano economico, le inoculazioni verranno retribuite dalla Sanità pubblica alla pari di quelle effettuate dai medici di medicina generale (circa 6,50 euro a iniezione).
“Siamo molto soddisfatti di questo accordo con la Regione Piemonte, che riconosce il ruolo della farmacia, del farmacista e della distribuzione intermedia, consentendo di gestire ed eventualmente somministrare il vaccino Covid in farmacia, secondo quanto previsto dalla normativa vigente”.
“Anche in questa fase della pandemia la farmacia è quindi parte integrante della filiera sanitaria, accanto a medici e alla Regione sempre nell’interesse e a tutela del cittadino“, dichiara Massimo Mana presidente di Federfarma Piemonte.
