La terza ondata di Covid rischia di essere «un’ondona».

Ne è convinto Fabrizio Pregliasco, virologo dell’Università statale di Milano che in un’intervista rilasciata alla Stampa ha espresso la sua preoccupazione sui numeri dei contagi degli ultimi giorni: «Non consentono di stare tranquilli e prefigurano una terza ondata. Gli ultimi dati dimostrano la stanchezza del lockdown, ma ora la curva rallenta troppo lentamente per cui è urgente intervenire con nuove misure».

Terza ondata Pregliasco: “Opportuno prolungare zona rossa dopo il 6 gennaio”

Secondo Pregliasco sarebbe opportuno prolungare la zona rossa anche oltre il 6 gennaio, termine oltre il quale le Regioni torneranno ad adottare il sistema a fasce. «Il colore rosso è stato necessario perché a dicembre la popolazione non era abbastanza attenta. Durante le feste è stato concesso qualche strappo, ma pranzi, cene e ritrovi vanno dimenticati fino al vaccino». Una data non immediata, nonostante la campagna di vaccinazione in Italia conti a oggi i primi 45mila vaccinati: «La vaccinazione non darà risultati a breve per cui per diversi mesi, circa fino a fine 2021», prevede Pregliasco.

«Non c’è un manuale per il lockdown e bisogna procedere per tentativi, ma sarebbe bene che dopo il 7 tutte le regioni aderissero a regole più rigorose», dice.

Quanto alle scuole, «con l’attuale circolazione del virus sono pericolose sia per quello che vi succede dentro sia per il traffico che innescano, ma ha senso il tentativo di riaprirle parzialmente per valutare nel tempo gli effetti ed eventualmente ricalibrarsi. Anche perché la scuola ha pari dignità rispetto ai servizi essenziali e ai luoghi di lavoro, che fin qui si è cercato di privilegiare sacrificando invece svaghi e turismo».


Il tasso di positività del 14,1%, significa «che le feste non hanno portato bene e che la situazione sta peggiorando. Dall’8 dicembre, nonostante le chiusure, gli italiani si sono frequentati troppo per cui ci aspetta un gennaio con una potenziale terza ondata. Che si spera non diventi un’ondona», sostiene Pregliasco, che sul numero delle vittime spiega: «Scenderanno quando i contagi caleranno sotto 5mila, mentre ora sono oltre 22mila. Se non modifichiamo i nostri costumi ci attendono tanti altri morti».
