“Se dovesse esserci una terza ondata in Italia è molto probabile che avvenga tra questa settimana e la fine di marzo”.
A dirlo ai microfoni di Tgcom24 è Matteo Bassetti, direttore del reparto di Malattie Infettive dell’ospedale San Martino di Genova.
“E’ lo stesso periodo – continua il medico – in cui abbiamo avuto la prima grande ondata con il picco nel mese di marzo”.
Per questo motivo secondo Bassetti serve ancora tanta cautela e attenzione e “gli ospedali devono rinforzare gli argini”.
“I ricoveri e i nuovi contagi stanno progressivamente diminuendo ma non con la forza che ci aspettavamo. Anzi stiamo vedendo in alcune Regioni la ripresa dei contagi”.
