Team OMS a Wuhan – Il team di esperti dell’Organizzazione mondiale della sanità (Oms) incaricato di indagare sull’origine del Covid-19 è arrivato oggi in Cina a Wuhan, focolaio dell’epidemia trasformatasi in pandemia.
A due membri del team investigativo è stato negato l’ingresso nel Paese dopo che la loro positività è stata registrata tramite i test sugli anticorpi fatti a Singapore.
Lo scrive il Wall Street Journal, citando fonti vicine al dossier.
Gli altri 13 componenti della delegazione, invece, hanno raggiunto come da programma la città di Wuhan.
Prima saranno sottoposti a due settimane di isolamento e comunicheranno con le controparti locali in collegamento video, al fine di gettare le basi del lavoro da svolgere.

L’Oms conferma il mancato ingresso di due suoi esperti in Cina, parte della delegazione di 15 componenti inviata a Wuhan, risultati positivi al test sierologico anti Covid a Singapore, ma afferma che i membri del gruppo erano “tutti negativi prima della partenza”. “Tutti i membri del team hanno avuto molteplici test negativi Pcr e per gli anticorpi nei loro Paesi prima del viaggio”, afferma l’Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite su Twitter. L’Oms aggiunge che i 13 esperti giunti a Wuhan cominceranno “immediatamente” il loro lavoro, malgrado le due settimane di quarantena.
La Cina si atterrà “rigorosamente” ai requisiti di prevenzione anti Covid-19: così il portavoce del ministero degli Esteri Zhao Lijian ha replicato alla domanda sull’ingresso negato a due membri del team dell’Oms perché risultati positivi, secondo un’anticipazione del Wsj, ai test sieriologici nel transito a Singapore. “I requisiti rilevanti per il controllo della prevenzione delle epidemie saranno applicati rigorosamente”, ha detto Zhao.
La missione dell’Oms è giunta proprio quando più di 28 milioni di persone nel nord della Cina sono finite in lockdown e una provincia, quella di Heilongjiang, è entrata in ‘stato di emergenza’ allo scopo di stroncare un focolaio di coronavirus, mentre la situazione più critica è nella provincia di Hebei, con ben 22 milioni di persone di lockdown.
