Raoul Casadei morto – E’ stato, per tutti, il ‘Re del Liscio’, Raoul Casadei. L’uomo che ha trasformato il folklore romagnolo in un genere riconosciuto e apprezzato in ogni angolo d’Italia. Che su quella sorta di inno nazionale’, ‘Romagna Mia’ scritto dallo zio, Secondo Casadei, ha costruito una carriera leggendaria all’insegna dell’allegria, della solarità e della genuinità tipica della sua terra.
Se ne è andato a 83 anni – compiuti lo scorso 15 agosto – dopo essere stato ricoverato, il 2 marzo, all’ospedale Bufalini di Cesena per Covid.
Come aveva raccontato la figlia Carolina stava benino, fino a che non hanno visto una bassa saturazione sul saturimetro. I medici hanno notato un po’ di polmonite e consigliato di ricoverarlo. Dopo una decina di giorni di lotta contro il virus, l’aggravarsi delle condizioni.

E’ il sipario a calare tristemente su una vita segnata dalla musica, dagli affetti familiari, con la sua grande ‘tribù’ riunita nel ‘Recinto Casadei’ di Villamarina di Cesenatico e dall’eredità dell’orchestra fondata dallo zio Secondo nel 1928.
“Gli artisti come Raoul non moriranno mai rimarrà sempre vivo nella sua musica e nelle sue canzoni che viaggiano nell’aria e continuano a esistere”, ha detto Mirko Casadei, il figlio di Raoul che dal padre ha ereditato la guida dell’orchestra, in un messaggio vocale inviato al Tgr Rai dell’Emilia-Romagna. “Oggi – ha detto – è un giorno triste per la Romagna, per tutta Italia, per la musica popolare”.
Inventore del ‘lissio’ – come si usa dire da Bologna in giù – e autore di ‘Romagna Mia’, un brano-manifesto da oltre 4 milioni di copie vendute che non aveva esitato a mettere in mano una chitarra ad un Raoul adolescente facendolo partecipare agli spettacoli dell’Orchestra Casadei nelle balere e nei locali romagnoli.
