“Sarebbe moralmente inaccettabile se riaprissimo tutto a Natale, per fare tutto il casino fatto in Sardegna quest’estate e ricominciare dall’inizio“.
Il professor Andrea Crisanti, direttore di microbiologia e virologia all’università di Padova, ad Agorà commenta così l’ipotesi di un allentamento -nel periodo natalizio- delle misure per arginare la diffusione del coronavirus.
“I casi non stanno aumentando al ritmo della settimana scorsa. Se ieri fossero stati fatti 210-220mila casi, saremmo arrivati a circa 36-37mila casi. Quindi ci troviamo davanti a piccole variazioni rispetto al numero dei casi. Sicuramente le misure hanno avuto l’effetto di rallentare l’andamento della curva: la prossima settimana vedremo se la curva inizierà a scendere. Se non scende, bisogna fare qualche altra cosa. Sono morte 9 mila persone dall’inizio della seconda ondata, le famiglie stanno pagando un prezzo emotivo immenso”, aggiunge.
“L’obiettivo del governo era smorzare il picco senza compromettere la componente economica che si vuole preservare. E’ un obiettivo che in qualche modo stanno raggiungendo. Stiamo imponendo un sacrificio importante agli italiani, stiamo accettando un sacrificio sociale ed emotivo ogni giorno con 500 morti“, prosegue.
