Locatelli rassicura i cittadini. “I numeri delle Terapie intensive sono ancora significativamente inferiori agli oltre 4 mila malati di inizio aprile: siamo al 25% di quel picco”, ciò che fa si che “lo Stato ha attivato ed è in condizione di attivare nuovi posti letto in numero adeguato”.
In un’intervista a Il Fatto Quotidiano il professor Franco Locatelli, presidente del Consiglio superiore di sanità, sostiene che “siamo in condizioni tanto migliori rispetto al pre-pandemia come numeri di posti nelle terapie intensive”. Pertanto, “quando si arriverà a una soglia del 30% di occupazione dei posti letto a disposizione salirà l’allerta, adesso siamo al 10-15% e comunque l’attenzione è alta”, assicura il sanitario.
Quanto ad avere effetti sulla curva epidemica, “servono almeno un paio di settimane” risponde Locatelli, per il quale “la cosa importante è evitare assembramenti”.
Poi analizza: “Chiudere alle 21 penalizzerebbe attività come i ristoranti già in crisi grave. ‘Coprifuoco’ evoca scenari tristi di limitazione della libertà con la forza, parlerei piuttosto di restrizioni alla possibilità di movimento”.
E un lockdown? “Avrebbe conseguenze sociali ed economiche inaccettabili. E la scuola va tutelata a tutti i costi: nella peggiore delle ipotesi sarà l’ultima da sacrificare”, risponde il presidente del Css, che poi osserva:
“L’idea è di arrivare a definire un meccanismo che faccia scattare dei livelli di restrizioni fino alla peggiore ipotesi del lockdown nazionale a cui faremo di tutto per non arrivare”.
