A preoccupare è l’indice Rt, quello che misura la capacità di contagio del virus. “La scorsa settimana l’indice Rt ha avuto un improvviso innalzamento – ha detto il governatore lombardo Attilio Fontana –: abbiamo finito la settimana precedente a 1 e la scorsa settimana siamo passati a 1,24. Tenendo conto dei nuovi parametri introdotti dal Governo poco prima di Natale, ci stiamo avvicinando sicuramente alla zona rossa“.
Già, stando all’automatismo appena messo a punto dall’esecutivo nazionale, l’ingresso in zona rossa scatta quando l’indice Rt è pari o superiori a 1,25. Prima della stretta, invece, occorreva un indice pari all’1,5 per finire nel livello di rischio più alto di tutti. Da qui la conclusione del presidente della Regione. Il problema, però, non è solo l’indice Rt. “Stiamo peggiorando in tutti i parametri”.
Galli preoccupato per la situazione in Italia
“I dati indicano che siamo non dico daccapo, ma in una situazione non tranquilla, con la possibilità di ritrovarci settimana prossima di nuovo con gli ospedali in forte difficoltà. Non c’è certezza, ma per come si configura, la situazione ci dà elevate possibilità di essere messi male a breve”.
Ha aggiunto Massimo Galli, infettivologo dell’ospedale Sacco e dell’università degli Studi di Milano, intervenuto ad ‘Agorà’ su Rai3. Secondo l’esperto, anche per ‘mettere al sicuro’ la campagna vaccinale servono nuove restrizioni, perché “è chiaro che il sistema policromatico utilizzato fino adesso ha funzionato in maniera molto limitata”, anzi “mi sentirei di dire non ha funzionato – sostiene – se è vero come è vero che quelle peggio messe sono attualmente le Regioni che sono sempre state più o meno gialle”.
“Il virus si muove e si diffonde con il movimento delle persone – ha ricordato l’esperto – e quello che è successo è quello che continuerà a succedere se non si riuscirà a circoscrivere la problematica del movimento e della circolazione conseguente del virus. Tristissima considerazione che non faccio certo volentieri”.
Ha precisato, però “siamo in una situazione in cui, perché il Paese possa riprendere da tutti i punti di vista, tocca contenere questa che è una seconda ondata non terminata e tocca assolutamente intervenire perché si riesca a fare la campagna vaccinale. La prima cosa su cui vorrei essere confidente è la disponibilità di quantità di vaccini e di un apparato per somministrarli tale da rendere produttiva la chiusura” ulteriore, necessaria a parere dell’infettivologo.
“In realtà non è mai finita la seconda” ondata, ha osservato Galli, e “mi auguro di non vederne una terza perché se la vedessi probabilmente dovrebbero essere intervenuti ulteriori fattori, magari anche sulle caratteristiche del virus, ma mi auguro di no”.
